(Y/N) Pov.
I leaned on the car waiting for Dad to finish talking to Collins. Conner was next to my side. As we waited I tried to piece things together. I learned about deviants action for the last 3 months when deviants started showing up the last nine months. I feel like deviants are becoming human. After reading cases since I wasn't able to be in case of deviants I only could read reports about them when the case was closed. Markus was the first one I saw change right before my eye's. He was different. I looked up to the sky taking a deep breath. I had to face the fact that Markus is dead but something told me he isn't. That's the hope I have to see if he was still alive. Maybe just one deviant can tell me where he is.
"You seemed confused (y/n). Are you alright?" I looked at Conner shaking my head.
"I'm fine Conner just thinking." I said. I like how Conner is concerned for me, but I can't let him know me to well. I have this vibe saying that theirs more of a purpose to him than we know. I know there has to be, I mean he's the only android like him, and he can come back from the dead! Cyberlife is hiding more than they tell.
"Conner what is your purpose?" I asked
"To hunt deviants," he said.
"Why though?" I said.
"That is not your concern," He said. I walked in front of him making him look at me.
"When we were in the break room, you said 'I only follow lieutenant and sergeant Anderson's orders'. So I order you to tell me what is your true purpose to Hunt Deviants." He turned his head a bit.
"To see why Deviant become Deviants. To see how they are disobeying orders so Cyberlife can fix them." I snapped.
"There is nothing wrong with Deviants. They are perfectly fine just the way they are."
"We're just machines, (y/n). We're made to obey."
"They were but they also have a right to disobey because they are not just machines"
"Why are you in Deviants cases then (y/n)." I blinked my eyes.
"What?" I asked.
"What was the reason you toke on Deviant cases? I heard only Lieutenant Anderson was more qualified than you to be in this investigation." I gritted my teeth. Now he looks at my dad's background?
"Because my Dad is in it." I lied.
"Your lying." Conner said taking a step forward. I opened my mouth to say something but I shut it. There is no way I'm telling him. I have my reason to find deviants and I have to make sure I get one before he does.
"So what. it's not important. We need to focus on the case right now." I said. Conner was about to say something till dad came looking at us. Conner changed his attention. "It toke the first bus that came along and stayed at the end of the line. It's decision wasn't planned, it was driven by fear."
"Androids don't feel fear."
"Deviants do." I said. Dad looked at me. I looked around trying to see. 'If I was an android where would I go?' I eyes focused on the house across the street. It had wood covering the windows.
"They get overwhelmed by their emotion and make irrational decisions" Conner said. The house was abandoned. I looked at the window seeing a figure move.
"Ah, well that still doesn't tell us where it went." Dad said.
"It didn't have a plan, and it had no where to go," Conner said
"Maybe it didn't go far." I finished pointing to the building.
"Maybe..." We walked over to the house. It didn't look like we can get in. Conner stayed with Hank saying stuff. I walked around seeing the fence cut. I crouched down seeing there was a trace in the mud. One was wider than the other.
