My vision blurred and the stinging in my ear rang. "NORTH!" I hear Markus say. I blinked my eye's trying to see. I looked to my left seeing another grenade land. I saw Markus dived for the androids that got up to get them out the way of the bomb. Shit. I got up and ran to help the android that was down near me. I helped him to get behind the blue trash bin. I turned seeing Markus run to me taking cover. I turned to my left seeing an android run to the body that was shot. Shit. Markus went around me pulling a metal sheet from the Trash bin and ran. I ran next to him staying at his right for him to cover me. I pushed to the android to keep moving. I ran to help another android that was dragging a injured one. I almost got shot till Markus was able to block it with the metal. I saw two android tried running, but soldiers aimed at them. Markus pushed the bin in time making the shots hit it. I helped the android to the blue bin placing him down. I heard noise behind me seeing soldiers get top of cars.

"(Y/n)!" I ran to Markus as he has his hands together for me to boost me up and jump at the soldier pushing him to make him fall back and kicked the other soldier from behind to fall in front of Markus to take his gun away. The soldier tried going for the handgun, but Markus toke it before he could. The soldier raises his hands in defeat. Markus unloads the gun. I jump down and he grabs my hand making me run behind him to the other androids direction. We went to them, but they stopped by the bus. I turned seeing soldiers closing in on us. We're trap. I looked at Markus as he squeezes my hand then let's go. He turns to North and North turns to him. They connect there hands together and lean in giving one last kiss. I didn't want to give up. I toke a couple steps toward the soldiers. I toke a breath.

"Alright." I looked at Perkins. "I am (Y/n) Anderson, a human being. I care for the androids. I treat Markus as my older brother not caring if he was a machine. He protected me and taught me ways I can never express. Yes he was ordered to obey, but he had a will. His old owner, the one he was provided to care for a old man. He didn't mind. He didn't treat Markus as a machine either. Markus saw him as a father figure and I could see the connection between them, it was the same love and care I have with my father. If caring and protecting the things you cherish most, fighting for them means being an android then I am as well," I said. "Go ahead and kill us, but it will not stop us from being free." I watch as the soldiers still had there guns aimed at us. I felt someone hold my hand. I turned seeing Simon has held it. I felt someone else hold my other hand. I turned seeing North. She stood tall and was ready to accept it. I did to. Markus held North's other hand and held Josh's hand. We were ready. I felt the tears prickle down. I'm sorry Dad. But you have to live through another son's death. Then, the soldiers brought there guns down and started walking away. What? What's happening? I looked at to my sides seeing they were as confused as I am. Then I looked ahead of me, feeling the tears come down. I let them go running to him.

November 12th, 2038 ; 12:01 A.M

He walked to me, opening his arms for me to jump into. I hugged him tight. I heard the footsteps behind me.

"You did it, Markus," Conner say's. I let go of him, but still have my hand intertwined with his.

"We did it. This is a great day for our people. Humans will have no choice now. They'll have to listen to us." Conner steps to the side pulling me along with him, allowing Markus to take a couple steps forward. I see North walk up to him to stand by his side.
