Farther

I want to go farther
I need to be taller
I need to smarter
I need to go farther
But expectations get larger and larger
My goals get farther and farther
With ever step, I am two behind
With every leap, I start to cry
With every lesson, I want to die
I always try harder and harder
Going farther and farther
But it is never enough
The goal is out of reach
There is no motivational speech
Just me
Going farther but not far enough
With goals always out of reach
Losing my sense of peace
Searching for a release
Begging for a savior but once again there is just me
I am alone
Yet I only want one thing
To go farther
