We got into town, we were walking down the sidewalk towards Mads's work. Someone bumped into me and I was startled. The person looked right at me, but he looked confused. "Hello?" he asked, his face laced with confusion. He took another look at me after rubbing his eyes and his eyes got wide with amazement. Mads looked at him, then at me, then she grabbed my hand and pulled me into the nearest shop.
"Do you understand what just happened Em?" Her voice sounded very concerned. "Think very clearly, did anything seem off when he bumped into you?" I thought hard, but the only thing that was off about the whole thing was that the sun was slightly darker, as if a cloud had passed over it. "Yeah, the sun got a little darker, but not so much so that it was hard to see, only enough to notice if you really tried to think about it, it was probably just a cloud or something." Mads was shaking her head looking troubled. "No, no, no, no, no, this wasn't supposed to happen. We were supposed to stay safe."
