Mom? Dad?

We just finished breakfast when a beautiful couple came in. I looked at Mads thinking of my dream last night. It's okay Em, it's okay, it's just a cute couple, don't overthink it. Mads looked at me with worried eyes, and nodded towards the couple. "Knew it, let's go." Mads nodded, stood up, took my hand, and led me out of the hotel.

We were in the car when Mads told me to lay down on the ground, cover up with my blanket, and not make a sound. I immediately obeyed. slightly freaked. The couple from inside came up to the window, Mads rolled it down. "Maddie, where is Emily?"  the man asked. "I am sorry, I don't know what you are talking about." The man sounded angry, "Maddie Elizabeth Jackson, tell me where your sister is right now!" Dang, he used her whole name, I didn't want to know what would happen if he discovered me under the blanket. "Dad, you only want to kill her, now please tell me why I would risk her safety like that?" I had to put both my hands over my mouth to stop laughing. "Anyways, good to see you too, where's Mom?" Dad rolled his eyes, but he moved to the side. Mads gasped, "Mom."

Mom came up to the window. Mads didn't say anything, and I really wanted to peek out of the blanket to see how my talk-a-lot sister could be so speechless. "Hi Honey." Oh my gosh.. I heard Mom's voice and it was like an angels, but all scratchy at the same time. Mads still didn't say anything. I think she's crying. "Mom.." Mads just sounds dumbfounded. "Honey, where is your sister?" Mom asked. "Mom. I can't let Dad kill her. I can't let him torcher her. I can't let him touch her." I sat as still as if I were dead. "He won't. I promise." Mads didn't say anything. I felt her grab the blanket and put it on the seat. I looked up at Mom, and was startled. She wasn't as vibrant as in the photo. She had a scratch along the side of her face, and she looked drained of energy.
