I woke up with a jolt. I hadn't realized I fell asleep. I looked around outside and didn't see much. It was still pretty dark. Mom and Mads were fast asleep in the front so I looked at the cage. Whatever was in it was scratching around. I decided to take a peek, but I couldn't see into the cage very well. I decided to look for my flashlight in the bags sitting on the seats around me. I felt in one of my old backpacks and found it. I grabbed it and faced it to the ground in front of the cage so that I didn't scare the animal.
When I shined the light in front of the cage I saw a kitten with white fur that had black areas on it. It was a very pretty kitty. I shut off my flashlight and went back to sleep.
