#COUPLEFIGHTS

I went down the kitchen to grab a snack and found Lily cooking.

'So, how's you room?' She asked, without looking.

'Just the way I wanted it to be,' I replied. There was an awkward silence before she continued.

'If you want, you can stay here as long as you want...you know..even after the tournament. I know it may sound abrupt but I know you want to stay away from Voltaire as much as possible. Also, I would love to have some sane company in this house.'

I looked at her surprised.

'Take your time.' She said.

'What about Tala?' I asked.

'Umm, he does not live here...' She trailed off.

'Ditching our boyfriend are we?' I raised an eyebrow.

'HE IS NOT MY BOYFRIEND.' She said, pronouncing each word clearly and menacingly.

'Oh! So you expect me to believe that two people who "sleep" together, and spend all the time with each other are just "Friends". I retorted.

'You are supposed to be my Bey partner. Not some jealous Boyfriend!' She fired.

'What if I want to be?' I spat.

'So you will cheat on you so called "crush"? You will be just like another jerk who doesn't understand friendship, who thinks just getting close to a guy means I am interested, who will just leave a girl and go as if nothing happened?' She shouted, and then her eyes widened in realisation. 

I pursed my lips and turned around, letting silence prevail in the kitchen. I heard some shuffling of feet and two arms wrapped around my waist. Lily leaned on my back and rested he chin on my shoulder, her nose tickling my throat.

'I am so sorry.' She whispered. 'I shouldn't have said that. You are honestly one of the most amazing people I have met. If somebody ever gets you in her life, she will be the luckiest girl alive.  It's just that, we have been friends since we were kids, you know... and old habits die hard. But I promise I will pay more attention to you know.'

I closed my eyes and smiled.

'FYI, I will never date Tala. He is disgusting, and creepy!' She laughed.

I turned and wrapped my arms around her waist. She smiled and reached out on her toes and pressed her lips against mine. I smiled and readily kissed her back, every other thought disappearing as her lips were the only thing that existed. I drew her closer as every part of my body burst in happiness and pleasure.
