Doflamingo didn't care what he had to do; he was about to loose it if he didn't get something to eat! At only eight years old, he was dumpster diving with his six year old brother because the humans had burned down their house and drove them to live in a shack. It was positively repulsive and degrading that he had to do this at all. But, if he didn't then who knew what would happen, so he continued to rummage through the garbage.
"You must be new here if you're going through there. You won't find anything good. I already looked."
A voice said behind him, startling him. Turning around slowly, he saw it was a girl. Maybe around his age with dirty but noticeable blonde hair. She was defiantly shorter than him in what he supposed was to be a dress. Despite her ragged appearance, what he noticed for some reason was her eyes; bright green that seemed to exude life itself. Dragging himself out of his thoughts, he remembered what she had said.
"Oh yeah? Well maybe you missed something. Go away."
Her small cheeks puffed in defiance at the tone of his rude remark.
"Oh your defiantly new here. Ain't nobody would ever be that mean. Especially to me."
The tension between the two children could be cut with a knife. That is, it could if they were brave enough to get in between the two eight year old's. And this tension remained until his younger brother decided to make an appearance; falling and tripping over his own feet that is. Right smack dab in the middle of the two.
"Who the hell is this?" was the only thing she could say. His response was that he was his little brother. With that, the two made their way carrying the younger boy back to where his family was staying. Of course, Doflamingo and the girl resorted to exchanging insults on the way instead of just beating each other up all the way. Even when they got to their destination.
She met his father, a kind and gentle man by the name of Homing.
She found out that he was a World Noble. More insults were thrown upon that find.
But didn't World Nobles live in huge mansions?
Finally, either as to stop his son and the girl fighting or actually be polite, he asked for her name.
She turned around with a bright smile on her face. "It's Anastasia. No last name. But you can just call me Anna; my friends do."
Doflamingo was at a loss frankly. This same girl who threatened to beat him up, called him almost every name in the book, and dared to correct him on anything, had the most beautiful smile he had ever seen.
Were all girls this confusing?
