Mystics POV
It was early morning, and the sun was shining annoyingly brightly with hope. Mystic sighed rather loudly as she turned the 67' Impala into the school parking lot. While she enjoyed the looks on the faces of the people in town, she didn't like that many of the other students started touching her jet-black Impala as she turned it off. She put a scowl on her face after she locked the car doors and faced the herd of fanboys that surrounded her car.
Coughing into her fist, "Ehem, if you could kindly remove your grubby hands off the pricey cargo. I would really appreciate it," the guys did not hear the hidden warning behind Mystic's command, kept that gleam in their eyes, and continued feeling Mystic's Impala. As she silently mutters to herself "I really don't need this", she shrugged the bag's strap higher on her shoulder and approached a group of guys in front of her.
The leader had a head of golden blonde locks that cascaded down over pale blue eyes. He wore a varsity hoodie over a tight white tee and a pair of Levi denim jeans. His full feet were packed away in a pair of black Adidas trainers. He was the one with the most attention invested in the car. So Mystic wanted to ensure that the others wouldn't bother her car, so she would have to make an impression with the school's golden boy. Without caring if it would make her his enemy or not, she walked up to the 5'11 male and yanked his hand off her vehicle's hood.
Whispers spread through the parking lot as Mystic's eyes crossed paths with the golden boys. Declaring in annoyance, "What the actual fuck?" He raised his pale blue eyes to Mystic, as he angrily eyed her outfit. She stared at him, silently, as anger left his eyes and was replaced by mischief.
A sly smirk shadowing his face, Dylan pulled her hand with the one she had taken hostage up to his lips and kiss it before saying, "I forgive you just this once, and only because you're so beautiful. My name is Dylan Sonders. What's your name, love?"
Chuckling darkly, Mystic twisted the football captain's hand tighter before replying "None of your damn business, blondie, just make sure you keep your hands off Dean, and we'll be fine."
When the in-class bell sounded, Dylan didn't have a chance to make a comeback. Those who stayed to watch the interaction scurried into the school doors and went their separate ways. Mystic quickly wiped the greasy fingerprints off her car before casually strolling into Traveler's Crossroads Highschool.
As she slammed shut the doors behind her, she was greeted with a particular scent: the scent of desperation and hopelessness that every school provided.
Rolling her eyes at the horde of students that were running around as if they were ants, she pulled out the schedule the school had provided her aunt with.
Mystic scanned over the list of teachers and subjects for the year when everything was up to par with the standards that she had set for herself. Mystic walked towards the main office in search of the student guide she was supposed to meet before her first period.
Opening the door, she expected to find some irritating know-it-all, but fortunately, she found a girl who could be another version of herself.
The aforementioned girl had wavy black hair with teal blue highlights. She wore black skinny jeans, Rampage combat boots, and a black T-shirt with the ACDC logo stretched across the front.
Smirking to herself, Mystic allowed the door to swing shut as she approached the girl. The blue-eyed girl nodded to Mystic in approval before saying "You must be Mystic, I am Astaria Rivers, and girl, I'll be your new best friend.
Laughing Mystic rolled her eyes and muttered "I would disagree, but what's the point? I already know you will be."
