Chapter 8:

James POV*

A girl named Katelyn Grace Knight! I whisper "Angel did you call me?" Katie doesn't move she just nods really super slowly. I say "is this my imagination or you really waking up from this?" Katie nods again. I say "that doesn't help me angel so do this for me. Tap once on my arm if it's my imagination and twice if you are waking up from this." Katie taps my arm twice really slowly. I smile and kiss her cheek. I feel a smile come across her face. I know and can just tell she smiled because she has the world's cutest dimples. Katie quietly as her voice cracks says Jamie?" I say yes angel?" Katie quietly and slowly says I love you and thank you for having faith in me that I would wake up from this." A huge smile came across my face and say "I love you too and of course you are my everything." I see Katie smile and I say Katie do you think you can open your eyes and look into mine. Katie says "as much as I would love that I can't open my eyes." I say "I might be able to fix that." Katie says "how on earth can you do that?" I say "follow the sound of my voice and look where you hear me." Katie giggles and turns toward my face. Her giggle sent chills down my spine and I smiled. I lean forward and softly kissed her lips. She kissed me back. We kissed for a while, I wanted to kiss her forever. It sure felt like forever since the last time I kissed her. After a while I pulled away laying my warm forehead on her cold forehead. To find myself staring into her eyes. I whisper "hi my beautiful angel." Katie smiles and whispers back "I missed you." I say "I missed you too so much." We stared into each other's eyes until we were interrupted by the doctor coming in. the doctor says Mr. Diamond it's time for us to pull the plug." I whisper "show him your awake angel and sit up for me." Katie smiles at me and slowly sits up. The doctor's eyes widen and say "she is up! It's a miracle!" I sit up with her and say "yep she is because she is my angel and a stronger one too." I smile and the doctor says "you are right and we gonna need to do a few tests and then she is free to go home with you." Katie and I both nod at the doctor. The doctor says "Let's see her walk, James get up and you can have her walk to you." I nodded and got up walking back to the wall. I lean against the wall put my hands in my pockets. The doctor says "okay Katie walk to James." Katie looks at me and then back at the doctor with a scared look on her face. She shook her head no. The doctor went to say something but I say "I have an idea." I walked closer to the bed and Katie looks up at me. I say "hi angel do me a favor and just stand up. You won't fall and if you do I will catch you I promise." Katie smiles at me and gets up. She stood there for about ten seconds before she lost her balance. I caught her and she wrapped her arms around me scared to move. I held her close. The doctor says "alright she is going to have go to therapy for that to reteach her how to walk. She seems to only listen to you, so make sure you go to therapy with her. I say "of course I'm going with her. The doctor smiled and says "alright now she need talk now and then you two can go. I say "angel can you let go of me and turn around." Katie says "no I'm going to fall on my face." I say "remember what I told you I won't let you fall. Turn around now I will hold onto you." Katie slowly turn around to face the doctor and I put my arms around her waist. The doctor says "okay you're good she can talk fine, just go to therapy twice week for about 2 mouths and she should walk fine again. I nodded and the doctor walked out the room. I turned Katie back around so she is facing me again. I pick her up and spin her and gentle place her on the ground again. Katie giggled as I spun her and says "I missed that and I love you Jamie." I smile and say "I missed that too and I love you too my beautiful little angel. Katie blushed and looked down. I lift her chin up and kissed her lips and place my hands on her hips pulling her closer to me. Katie smiled on my lips and kissed me back. While we were kissing, I tapped my fingers on her hips. She knew what it meant. Ever since we had been dating for a year I had tried to get her to moan softly on my lips by tapping her hips but instead of moaning she jumped up wrapping her legs around my hips. After about 30 seconds of me doing it. Katie put her hands on my shoulders and jumped up wrapping her legs around my hips. I caught her and held her tight. During this whole time she never let my lips go. I smile into our kiss and I feel Katie smile back. We kissed for a little bit longer and Katie pulled away laying her forehead on mine. I say "ready to go home angel?" Katie closes her eyes and whispers "yes I'm ready but I just want to be with you right now not anyone else." I whisper back "ofc you can angel everyone is gone in the crib I got texts saying the crib is empty. So it will be just us when we get home." Katie leans down and kissed me again and I kissed her back. Katie says against my lips "I want you to carry me though." I say laughed on her lips and say back against lips "of course I will angel." Katie pulls away and looks into my eyes. I look back into hers. Damn I missed this. I smile at her and she smiles back and lays her head on my shoulder snuggling into my neck. I walk out of the hospital and back to the crib........
