All the kicks and all the blows,
She won't ever let it show

Nya's P.O.V
"It's the only way Zaria, she won't learn if we continue to do this!"
"And you think putting her in a foster home will fix that?!"
"NO!!" Nya woke up with a start, her hair and face a sweaty mess, that painful night, when she learned her parents where going to almost give her up, she cupped her face in her hands and wanted to cry, but the tears never came. The door to her room flew open and her 11 year-old brother walked in, "hey Sammy" she said weakly, he hoisted himself on top of her desk and started poking her dark purple surfboard, "what's up?" He asked, "I herd you scream, you okay?" Nya wanted so desperately to tell him, to tell him everything, but she knew she couldn't. "Another seagull flew in my window" she lied, faking a laugh, it was enough to satisfy her brother, "again? You should seriously start closing your window when you sleep" "I'll note that" she joked, and he laughed, "welp, you should get a shower and get changed, mom wants everyone downstairs for a 'family meeting' whatever that means" "yaaaay" Nya said sarcastically, "don't you just love it when we're all together?" "Right?" Sammy said throwing the sarcasm right back at her, "why are we like this" Nya said, laughing
"God hates us" Sammy replied, getting off her desk.
Once he left the room, Nya slipped out of her gray night gown and went to the bathroom, she let the warm water hit her hair and tried to imagine of a place where she wouldn't ever have to feel pain ever again.
