Brooklyn's P.O.V
Ever since two years ago, I've had a hard time clicking with people, it's like, I'm not human anymore, it's funny how love and bonds can change a person.
"Brooklyn! Breakfast is ready!" My mother's footsteps went from the kitchen to out the front door, leaving for her new job as a doctor, I went downstairs and ate my breakfast, soon after, I pulled up my laptop, and logged into my schools website, I'm homeschooled, due to "sensitive" reasons.
7:10, I had time to go to my favorite bookshop, I recently met a guy named Dustin there, and we've been meeting there ever since.
The warm air of Miami hit me as soon as I walked out of my cold apartment, making my way towards Tom's Bookshop, I opened the door and was greeted by the little bells that dinged whenever someone enters.
I found Dustin sitting at our usual table with another girl, "hey!" I said walking up to him, "hey brook!" He said, giving me one of his crooked smiles, "I'd like you to meet my younger cousin Evelyn, Evelyn, this is Brooklyn" the girl turned to face me, she was stunning, with golden-brown hair and blue eyes along with a very kind smile, "nice to meet you Brooklyn" she shook my hand, "nice to meet you too!" I said back.
After ordering a couple of drinks, we all sat down and talked for what seemed like an eternity.
