//Every time I write this I get the stupid Duck song stuck in my head XD//
Jaebum left his mom's house in a hurry the next afternoon excited to go to the park and see Jinyoung. He had been going for a week now and everyday he would try a new pickup line on other.
None of them have worked... but he could tell it was making the other kind of happy so he decided not to get disheartened and continue with his plans.
Jaebum smiled waiting in line and smirked when Jinyoung sighed upon seeing him.
"I have to tend to actual customers Jaebum." He said motioning for the other to leave but Jaebum just smiled.
"I am a customer, I would like a small lemonade please and thank you." Jaebum said smiling smugly as Jinyoung scrunched up his nose in annoyance.
Jaebum paid and Jinyoung began making his lemonade fresh, as he did for every customer.. Jaebum was in no way special.
"If you were a potato you'd be a sweet one." Jaebum said and Jinyoung froze and let out a deep exhale.
"That's the worst one you've had yet." Jinyoung said letting a small smile decorate his face.
"I'm running out of them, I didn't think you'd be so stubborn." Jaebum admitted taking his lemonade and smiling.
"I'll be back when you close." Jaebum said before walking off with a wink.
Jinyoung rolled his eyes but smiled as the other walked away and continued with his day.
Meanwhile Jaebum walked back home and gave his mom the cup and straw with a shy smile.
"You're still harassing that lemon boy?" She asked shocked and Jaebum groaned.
"I'm not harassing him!! I'm giving him company!" Jaebum clarified and she chuckling putting the straw in the top and taking a sip.
"Well, tell him i'm sorry that my son is a freak but your lemonade is very tasty." She said and Jaebum pouted.
"I wanna try it." He mumbled and she laughed.
"Do you have a death wish?" She said and he sighed.
"Maybe if he won't love me i'll just drink lemonade until I die." Jaebum said dramatically falling onto the couch.
"Oh my god i'm about to disown you.. get out." She said laughing at her son's antics.
"Even my own mother hates me!" He yelled as he ran to the door dodging the numerous paper plates she threw at him in a fit of laughter.
"Get some food on the way back!" She yelled unsure if he heard her or not but she decided to just hope he did.
As Jaebum approached the park he saw Jinyoung sitting outside his food truck with his eyes closed and sweat on his forehead. He knew the other must have been working really hard and he always wondered where he went... Jaebum never had seen him leave the park before.
"Do you just live here?" Jaebum asked noticing that it was getting dark and no one would be out at this hour to buy anything from a lemonade stand.
"And what if I do?" Jinyoung asked not bothering to open his eyes knowing very well who was talking to him.
"That's pretty cool actually, adventures living in a food truck! Could be a movie." Jaebum said sitting next to him.
"The only movie you'd be casted in is a sappy romance." Jinyoung said and Jaebum laughed.
"I don't know, I think i'd be a deep character to figure out... Now you, you are an open book sweet cheeks." Jaebum said patting Jinyoung's thigh.
Jinyoung opened one eye and glanced at Jaebum as he sat up.
"Oh yeah? Then what's my life story Mr. I know everything?" Jinyoung asked with a challenging gaze.
"Well, obviously something happened that caused you to be distant with family or you wouldn't be living in a food truck at like 18. You keep everyone distant because you're scared you'll get hurt but actually enjoy when someone gives you company even if you try to shun them and you're super hard working obviously. I think you want someone to talk to you and be your friend and companion but you think they'll be burdened with you so you push them all away and that's why you secretly like me... cause I won't go away." Jaebum said matter of factly and Jinyoung's jaw dropped.
"I hate you." He said sitting back and closing his eyes.
"You love me deep down don't worry." Jaebum said laying down with his head on Jinyoung's lap.
"What are you doing?" Jinyoung asked and Jaebum smiled.
"Laying down, say my mom really likes your lemonade." Jaebum said and Jinyoung smiled.
"Why don't you bring her here one day?" Jinyoung asked and Jaebum thought about it.
"That might be hard... I can try though on one of her good days." Jaebum said and Jinyoung looked at him quizzically.
"I think I'm starting to see why you'd be a deep character, but you're also a pretty open book." Jinyoung said and Jaebum smiled with his eyes closed.
"Then what's my story?" He asked and Jinyoung smiled.
"I think you live with your mom and for whatever reason your dad is out of the picture since you don't mention him.. Your Mom has some medical problem or reason she can't go out often and that's why it'd be hard to bring her here but you're close to her and you take care of her. I think you make jokes and act cocky but in reality you're scared you'll get left behind so you're covering your sadness with bad humor and desperately trying to find someone to love you." Jinyoung said before widening his eyes.
"I'm so sorry.." He said covering mouth.
"You're pretty smart peach." Jaebum said sitting up and smiling.
"I'll see you tomorrow." Jaebum added before getting up and walking away leaving Jinyoung dumbfounded.
