//I apologize for the delay..//

Jaebum hasn't been to the park for the past few days and I was really starting to worry that I actually offended him that night.  I completely forgot I was actually talking to him and not just analyzing him in my head...  He did say however that he'd see me tomorrow... but he never showed up.

As I closed up the truck for the night I locked it and began to walk around the park staying close to the truck.  I sighed watching the sky grow darker and darker and returned to the truck before it was too dark to see.

After settling inside in the drivers seat I reached under the seat and took the old torn copy of Secret Life of Bees and began to read it for the hundredth time.  I obviously didn't have money for many things which included phones or any kind of electronics so I stuck to books.

An old book store has a day where they sell the really old damaged ones for a dollar and if you bring them back the next time they do that event you can trade it in for a different book.  I'm just waiting for them to do that again but I don't mind rereading it.

40 pages in I heard a loud bang on the side door of the food truck.  I jolted in my seat before carefully going to the door.  Pressing my ear against the door I listened before speaking.

"Who's there?"  My voice had a slight shake to it but if I didn't open the door they couldn't hurt me right?...

"M- Me."  I heard a quiet stutter and I was confused.

It sounded like Jaebum, but I had never in my life heard him sound so vulnerable and... weak  In case it really was him I slowly opened the door and my shock increased when it was him, shiny eyes with tears rolling down his cheeks and a wobbling lip.  His nose and cheeks were red as well as the tips of his ears while the rest of his skin was pale.

"Jaebum... what happened?"  I asked stepping forward but I was just met with him sobbing and falling into my arms.

I held him the best I could and looked around the park seeing the usual trouble makers already out I decided to just bring him inside... He couldn't do any harm like this anyways.

I pulled him in and sat on the ground with him still weakly laying in my arms and I bit my lip.  I wasn't sure what conversation starter I should go with and my brain was panicking trying to find one.

"I'm sorry."  He whispered and I sighed.

I didn't like this Jaebum... I liked his crappy pick up lines, his stupid jokes, his flirtatious remarks... I kind of liked him.

"Don't be."  I said and he sighed while trying to sit up more and failing.

I helped him lean against the edge of the counter and he closed his eyes tightly with another sigh.

"I was worried when you didn't come by."  I said and he smiled slightly.

"Miss me that much sweetheart?"  He asked and I rolled my eyes happy his attitude was coming back slightly.

"Hey... are we in a cornfield?  Because you're stalking me."  I said suddenly and Jaebum opened his eyes quickly looking at me in shock before laughing.

"That was horrible?!  Oh my gosh... you really are something..."  Jaebum said and I blushed.

I was glad the joke made him smile... because even if I didn't admit it to him, his jokes always made me smile on the inside.
