15 Jinyoung

I went out to grocery shop getting just a few supplies for the Cafe but I left Jae and Jaebum there. Jae had run the shop on his plenty of times and Jaebum would try his best to help when able to.

I was in the middle of chooses between two cartons of milk when my phone went off.

"Hey." I said into my phone.

"Jaebum collapsed and he can't get up." Jae said out of breath.

I dropped the milk onto the store floor before running out, leaving my cart and shopping list in the aisle.

"I'm on my way." I said slamming my car door shut and speeding out of the supermarket parking lot seatbelt abandoned.

Parking crookedly I ran into the Cafe to see the store busy so I ran into the back where I found Jae on the ground talking to Jaebum who was laying on the floor. I ran to his side shooing Jae to go out to the front and serve everyone who was waiting but as to go so we could close early.

"Hey i'm here Bum." I said placing my hand on his cheek.

"Jinyoung... I- I'm scared." Jaebum whispered out to me his voice soft and cracking.

"It's okay. Are you able to sit up?" I asked and he shook his head no slightly.

"I can only feel my arms and head Jinyoung... I can't feel my legs at all." He said and I widened my eyes.

Leaning down I tapped his thigh hard and he showed no sign of even knowing I was touching him which concerned me.

"Okay, I'm going to get you up and off the floor and we'll call the doctor." I said and he blinked back his tears before mumbling an okay.

I took his hands and pulled him up into a seated position before looping my arm under his legs and the other behind his back. Bending my knees I lifted him up and carried him over to a chair where I sat him down.

I leaned forward and pressed a sweet kiss to his lips just to give him some reassurance that we would figure this all out. Pulling away I took my phone and called the doctor that Jaebum had started taking the experimental medicine with for his legs, did they make it worse?

"Is this Dr. Wen?" I asked holding Jaebum's hand and smiling as he played with my fingers.

"This is Jinyoung, you were giving the Muscle Degeneration Medicine to my boyfriend Jaebum. He collapsed earlier and he can't feel his legs at all now, it's almost as if the disease sped up." I said into the phone squeezing Jaebum's hand to comfort him.

"If his muscles rejected the medicine there are known to be some side effects. It should go away within 1-2 days and if it doesn't come into the Hospital okay?" Dr. Wen said and I gaped at how calm and unaffected he sounded.

"Side effects? This isn't a side effect this is the opposite of what it's supposed to even be doing! If this doesn't wear off within two days I suggest you find some amazing lawyers. Experimental drug or not, I'll find a way to sue you." I said angrily before hanging up the phone.

"So he said it should stop within two days?" Jaebum asked and I turned to face him.

"Yeah... if it doesn't go away I will never let him get away with it baby I swear..." I said kissing his forehead.

"It's okay... I would end up this way one day anyways so at least we tried something." Jaebum said as if he was okay with it but the tears on his face said otherwise.
