Chapter 7 - Power Couple

Millie's POV

Today is the day of the party. Finn and I have snuck out a few times together without Nick knowing. School starts in 5 days, and I really don't wanna go back. We're starting junior year, so the only people who are gonna be at Sadie's party are the juniors. The only thing I'm not excited for is seeing my ex, Romeo.

I decide that for the party I'm gonna straighten my shoulder length hair. I get in a light blue dress that does just above my knee. Then I do my makeup, I don't wear much makeup usually, so I just put on a little eyeshadow, mascara, and lip gloss.

I head downstairs. "Bye mom! I'm heading off to Sadie's party!"

"Bye sweetie! Have fun! Be back by one okay?" I nod and open the door to see Finn standing there.

"Shall we?" Finn says, smirking.

"Are you taking me?" I ask, he nods. "Okay then. Let's go! Bye mom!"

We finally arrive at Sadie's house and I get out of the car to see all of our friends, standing there waiting for us.

"Millie! You look amazing! I've missed you." Sadie said, her fiery red hair hitting me in the face as she hugs me.

"What's up, man?" Gaten asks Finn.

"Oh nothing much." Finn replied.

"So, how'd it go telling Finn?" Sadie whispered.

"Oh my gosh, did I never tell you? He told me the same thing, first! I didn't even have to tell him because he said it first." I said quietly. Her mouth immediately dropped.

"Seriously? That's amazing!" She squealed. "Come on guys, let's go inside with the rest of the people and partay!" Sadie said.

We all headed inside to see everyone dancing. We all headed over to the punch bowl.

"Does this have alcohol?" I asked Sadie.

"No! I'd never do that. I'm not like these other people who would." Sadie replied.

"Good, because I'm super thirsty." I said, grabbing a cup of punch. I took a sip and it tasted a little weird, but I didn't think anything of it.

"Come on guys let's go dance!" Caleb said, all of us following to the dance floor.

"I'll be right back, I'm gonna go get more punch." I said slurring my words.

"Are you sure you need it, Millie? I think someone spiked it. You're acting a bit weird." Finn said.

"It's probably just because it's late. I get a bit loopy when it's late." I said, and Finn nodded.

I head over to the table with the punch bowl, but I feel someone grab my arm.

"Haven't you had too many drinks, babe?" He said.

"Go away, Romeo! And don't call me babe! We broke up 6 months ago." I replied.

"Come with me so we can be somewhere more quiet." Romeo said, leading me into the bathroom. "Don't you wanna try it again? Start new? You know?" He asked.

"No, Romeo. I don't! You cheated on me and all I can say for that is-" I got interrupted by his lips smashing up against mine. He wouldn't let go either. The more I tried to get away, the harder he kissed me.

"Ooooo!!! The power couple is back together again!" Iris said, snapping a picture of me and Romeo.

I eventually was able to pull away from the kiss. "NO WE'RE NOT!" I shouted at Iris, but it was no use. She had already walked away.

"Why do you say that, babe?" He said, leaning in for another kiss, but I did all I could think of doing. I slapped him. I slapped him straight across the face. I was able to escape his grip and run to my friends.

"Hey, is everything okay? You were gone for a while?" Noah asked.

"Yeah, I thought you just went to go get some punch." Sadie said.

"Oh yeah, the crowd just got so big, I decided to stay back for a while and catch up with some people." I said, they nodded. I couldn't tell them what happened with Romeo. It would cause too much drama.

I finally realised that I was a little bit drunk. Who would spike the punch though? Most of the people here wouldn't drink, so I can't think of who would do it. Oh my gosh. Romeo. He wanted me to fall into his trap and fall back in love with him, so to do so, he made me drunk? The thought of this scared me, and in the moment, everything was fine, but I knew I would forget about it all by morning.

"Thanks for a great party, Saids." I said.

"No problem. Thanks for coming." She said, smiling at me, then looking to Finn. "Make sure you get her home safe, okay Finn?" He nodded.

She closed the door as we headed to Finn's car. We sat in silence for a little bit, until Finn started talking.

"Hey, so I didn't get to spend much time with you tonight. What were you doing?" He asked me.

"Oh, I don't know. I guess I kinda just got wrapped up in dancing." I told him, trying to forget about what happened with Romeo.

"Oh okay." He said while we were pulling into my driveway. "Bye, Mills." Finn said.

"Bye. See you tomorrow."

I went inside, and went up to my bedroom. I wasn't tired yet, but the alcohol had just worn off so I decided to take a shower.

Once I got out of the shower, I decided to check instagram, knowing people would've posted from the party. Then I saw Iris's post.

@irisapatow - awww power couple back together!

She posted a picture of me and Romeo kissing. I couldn't believe she did this. I couldn't believe I did this. I don't remember that even happening. I decided to DM her to tell her to delete the post.

@milliebobbybrown - iris, can you please delete that post? Romeo and I aren't back together and I don't want rumors going around that we are.

@irisapatow - well it sure seems like you are. You were kissing him after all...

@milliebobbybrown - iris please stop. I don't want other people seeing that picture. Especially finn.

@irisapatow - oh, are you guys dating now? Should have thought of that before you kissed romeo! Anyways I have to go, and I'm not deleting the post. Bye!

What am I supposed to do?! She's not deleting the post, and Finn is gonna see it! I don't like Romeo whatsoever, and when Finn sees this, he's gonna freak out.

I woke up to a knock on my bedroom door.

"Honey, can you go answer the door? I'm on a business call and I can't answer it." My mom asked, I nodded. And went to the door to open it to find Finn. And he was not happy.
