Millie's POV
I walked in the front door and was immediately greeted by Ava. "Hi Millie!"
"Hey Avs." I said kinda glumly.
"Why are you so sad? Didn't you have fun with your boyfriend?" She asked tauntingly.
"Boyfriend?! What are you talking about, Ava?" I asked, pretending I didn't know what she was talking about.
"You know what I'm talking about Millie! I saw you leave and run to your guys' special treehouse." Ava said.
"Hey guys, we're heading out." Charlie said to me and ruffled my hair.
"Bye Charlie, bye Becca." I said to them
They leave and I turn around to see Ava taunting me with kissy faces.
"I was out with...Sadie." I say to her giving me a look of suspicion. "AVA! What did you see, and how did you know where I was going and who with?" I asked her.
"Oh come on Millie. I'm 7. I know you guys are best friends and I knew he would be your boyfriend soon!" She said with a huge smile. I tried hiding a smile, but I couldn't help but blushing. "Millie! You're blushing! It is true!"
"Okay, fine. But please don't tell Mom, Dad, or Charlie. You know how protective Charlie gets with boys. Like when Johnny liked me, that wasn't good." I said with Ava nodding. "Thanks Avs." She said smiling.
"So tell meeeeeee!" She said pleading me for info.
"Tell you what?"
"About the date, duh!" She said rolling her eyes.
"Ava! I don't even know if we can date anymore." I said glumly, her looking at me confused. "Basically Nick doesn't want me dating Finn, because he thinks I'm a bad influence for some reason."
"But you're not!"
"I know...But anyway, today he came up to me with a black eye because Nick had beaten him up over dating me so..."
"WHAT? Why would he beat up Finn for dating you?"
*the doorbell rings*
"I don't know Ava." I said, while walking to the door, to answer it. "Thank you." I said to the delivery lady.
"What's that?" Ava asked.
"It's an invite to an end of the summer party at Sadie's!" I said, getting more excited.
"You should take Finn!" She replied.
"Hmmm..." I said. "Thanks Avs." I said running up the stairs to text Finn.
I got my phone out to text Finn, but he already texted me.
Finn: Hey, did you get an invite to Sadie's party?
Millie: Yeah. Are you going?
Finn: idk are you?
Millie: I might. I mean Sadie is one of my best friends.
Finn: Yeah, plus I haven't seen Gaten, Caleb, and Noah in a while.
Millie: So wanna go?
Finn: Yeah sure
Millie: Ok! So how did it go with Nick when you got home.
Finn: He just came into my room and yelled at me :(
Millie: I'm sorry.
Finn: It's okay. We will just have to go out in secret.
I hear Ava calling me from downstairs.
Millie: Oh, Ava is calling me. I gtg, bye
Finn: Bye
"WHAT AVA?" I yelled.
"MILLIE COME DOWNSTAIRS. I NEED HELP!!!"
"Oh my gosh what now?" I run downstairs to see Ava trying to get up onto the counter to the cabinets. "Ava is this seriously what you interrupted me for?"
"Oooooo were you talking to Finnie?" Ava asked tauntingly.
"Shut up. Do you need help getting something from the cabinet?" I asked, rolling my eyes.
"Yeah. The goldfish."
"Okay." I grabbed them from the cabinet and hand them to her. "Here you go."
"Thanks. So are you and Finn going to Sadie's party?" She asked.
"Yeah." I said smiling, then I went up to my room.
