Chapter 13 - Jack Dylan Grazer

This chapter is super freaking random, so sorry about that haha.

Millie's POV

I was awoken by my alarm ringing in my ear. Ugh do I seriously have to wake up? I hate school. I also am especially scared to go to school because of what happened with Romeo. I looked at my arms and they were completely purple. Bruises all up my forearm, and nail sized cuts up them too. I begin to tear up at the thought of Romeo. I quickly push that thought to the back of my head and begin to get ready.

I get up groggily and walk to my closet. Today I am wearing ripped jeans, a white t-shirt, a pink satin jacket, and some pink adidas. Then I went to the bathroom and proceeded to brush my teeth, and curl my brunette hair.

"Bye mom!" I run out the door and jump in Finn's car.

"Hey." Finn says, a smile growing on his face.

"Hi," I say giving him a small peck on the lips. "How was the rest of your weekend?"

"Lonely. It sucks when you're not home." He says, making me smile a bit.

"Sorry. Sadie wanted to have a last minute sleepover." I say.

"No, it's totally fine. I just really don't want to go to school. Especially since that little- Romeo, is in some of your classes and I'm not." He exclaims. I cringed at the name.

"Finn. It's fine. I don't need you to protect me. I'm perfectly fine." I said, half lying. I was strong, but Romeo was stronger, so Finn being there really was helpful.

"Okay."

"Okay so as some of you may know, Mr. Beckham has been expelled from school, due to some stuff happening with...some people." My lab teacher said. Romeo and I had been lab partners all year, because we chose each other as partners while we were still dating. After we broke up, I attempted to be as independent as I could whilst working with him.

I immediately make eye contact with Finn, who is also in my lab class. I can tell he is thinking 'well I guess he won't be a problem now.' I immediately look away.

"So because of that, Millie, I'm partnering you with Finn because he doesn't have a partner anymore, due to Julia leaving." Ms. Turner said.

I noticed Finn smirk, and it kinda made me smile. I gestured for him to come sit with me.

"Hey, so I guess Romeo won't be a problem anymore." I whisper to Finn. He nods.

"Okay class, let's settle back in."

Jack's POV

I watched Millie pass through the halls going to lunch. She sat with her usual "squad" which consisted of her, Finn, Sadie, Gaten, Caleb, and Noah. They are considered the "popular" group.

Millie looked so beautiful. Her short curled hair blowing in the wind. Her bright smile, while she talked to her friends. Millie is such a kind person and I just wish she would notice me.

"Hey Jack!" I hear a voice say. A familiar voice. A certain british voice. "Jaaaack?" She says, waving her hand in my face.

"Huh? Oh sorry." I said, getting out of my trance. "Wait, why did you get up from your friends to talk to me? How do you know my name?"

"I'm not an idiot! Just because I'm popular, doesn't mean that I can't be nice and learn other peoples names." She said.

"Oh, yeah. Sorry. So why exactly did you wanna come talk to me? I'm kinda the bullying target of the school." I said, a bit upset.

"Exactly. We were wondering if you wanted to sit with us." She said with a smile. I look over to the table and all of them are smiling and waving.

"Umm...sure. Let me just...go grab my lunch from my locker." I said.

"Okay." She said smiling and walking back to the table, her hair bouncing with every step.

I got to my locker, get my lunch out and walk to the table.

"Hey, Jack." Gaten said, with his toothless smile. I guess he forgot his fake teeth today.

We continued to talk a little bit. I don't know why I was so intimidated by them. They're all so nice. Especially Millie. Ugh she's so beautiful. I can't begin to express how much I love her. I'm definitely falling for her. I seem to make that a bit clear...

I took a sip of my juice and- "I love you." Shoot... What did I just say? I let that slip out. Quiet enough so she couldn't hear it. After all she was dating Finn, and was obviously very in love with him.

Millie's POV

"I love you." Jack mumbled.

"What?" I ask, trying to clarify with what he said. Did he just say he loved me? That doesn't make sense...

"Oh nothing. Nevermind. I kinda spaced out for a second."

"Oh. Okay." I just let it go assuming he said something like 'i love juice' or something, because he had just taken a sip of his grape juice.

Later that day, Finn and I were driving home. It was silent, until Finn broke it.

"So what did Jack say to you at lunch?" Finn asked.

"Huh?"

"At lunch...he told you something quietly."

"Oh. Honestly, I'm not sure. It sounded like I love you, but that wouldn't make sense. He knows that we're dating and he seemed kinda intimidated by me when I asked him to sit with us." I said.

"He probably did." He said. I shot a confused look at him. "You know, all through middle school he had the hugest crush on you. He never shut up about you. Actually...he came to me a lot for advice..." Finn said.

"Wait what? Does Jack like me?"

"He may even love you." Finn suggested.

"Okay okay. Let's not get carried away. It won't go anywhere, he's quite aware of us, and he wouldn't dare cross you...right?" I ask.

"Mills, he seemed super shy whilst talking to you today anyway. I doubt he would ever ask you out." Finn said.

"Okay." I said. "I love you." I said getting out of the car, kissing him on the cheek.

"I love you too." He said, a light smile on his face. He was super tired.

Okay ik that was a super weird chapter and it literally had nothing to do with the story, i just wanted one more chapter before i end it..

The next chapter is gonna have nothing to with anything that just happened. Spoiler alert: it's in the future, so you get to see what their lives are like after high school ;) k peace
