Chapter 8 - City Boy

Millie's POV

"How could you?!" Finn yelled.

"Finn I-" I said with him cutting me off.

"How long did you expect to hide this from me? How long did you expect to go behind my back dating this guy? He is your EX! He was abusive towards you, and now you're back with him?!!" He yelled, tears building up in his eyes.

"Finn! I was drunk! He pulled me into the bathroom and-"

"Exactly my point Millie! People always do what they really want to do when they are drunk, they let loose, and you kissed Romeo!" Finn shouted.

"Finn! I didn't kiss him back!" I said.

"You expect me to believe that?! We seemed so happy going out together, and now how am I supposed to go out with you after you betray me?"

"Finn I-"

"No. No! I'm sorry, but maybe Nick was right. Maybe all these years, Nick was right. Bye Millie." Finn said, closing the door, leaving me on the floor in tears.

"Millie? Honey are you okay?" My mom said, coming down the stairs.

"No." I explained to her what happened, trying not to cry, but I couldn't hold back.

"Aww honey, I'm so sorry. He should have listened to the full story." She said. "Do you want to eat some ice cream and watch some TV?" I nodded.

Finn wouldn't listen to me. He always listened to me, and this time he wouldn't. That made me feel awful that I made him so upset, but he never heard my side of the story and honestly that made me angry with him.

"I'll be right back, mom. I'm gonna go change into my pajamas." I said, she nodded. As I headed upstairs, I heard some pebbles hitting my window. I kinda hoped it was Finn, but at the same time I was really upset with him for not listening to me. I look down and I see... Iris?

"Iris what are you doing here?" I asked her, getting more angry by the second.

"I just wanted to apologize for ruining everything with Finn. I had no idea you were in a relationship and I posted it thinking you and Romeo were together." Iris said. I roll my eyes.

"Iris, I literally told you to delete it because Finn would see it. Now he thinks I cheated on him, and it's all your fault. You ruined our relationship, so at the moment, I can't accept your apology. Bye Iris."

"Millie I-" She said. I was so angry with her that I just closed the window because I was gonna start crying again.

"Millie? Are you okay? Your eyes are red and puffy like you were crying again." My mom said, looking concerned.

"Umm.. Yeah, I'm fine. Let's watch the movie." I replied. We were watching 13 Going on 30. I watch it with Sadie almost every time we hang out.

After the movie was finished, my mom was already asleep on the couch so I covered her up with a blanket and went up to my room. I lay down on my bed and pull out my phone to DM Sadie to tell her what happened.

@milliebobbybrown - sadie, did you see what Iris posted?

@sadiesink_ - omg yes! I thought you were with finn! I don't think it's the best idea to get back with romeo though.

@milliebobbybrown - im not! He pulled me into the bathroom and kissed me and WOULD NOT let go! Idk what to do, because finn saw it and broke up with me!!!

@sadiesink_ - did he not let you explain what happened?

@milliebobbybrown - no, thats why im mad!

@sadiesink_ - im so sorry. Maybe he'll forget about it by monday.

@milliebobbybrown - i hope so. I have literally ALL my classes with him.

@sadiesink_ - im sorry. Maybe you should just get some rest. I'll call you tomorrow <3

Finn's POV

I pull out my guitar, because that's basically how I get over my sadness. I just play my heart out. I can't help but look over into Millie's room. She is looking at her phone and sobbing.

Was breaking up with her a bad idea? I mean, she looked seriously broken over it. But she got back with Romeo! That jerk should have never even been her boyfriend. He should have treated her right. Why would she ever get back with him. After they broke up he forced her into kissing him because he was so abusive. Wait... What if- what if that's what happened again?! I mean, she didn't seem to pleased while she was looking at the picture, and she's now crying.

I decide to write a song to get my feelings out about this by writing a song. That's how I get most of my feelings out. The chorus goes like this:

I am a city boy

You are a city girl

You date the city tool

I am a city fool

I could tell that Millie was watching me write and play it because I could see her from my peripheral vision. When I looked up, I saw her look down, and a tear fall from her face. Maybe I messed up.
