She ran. What else could she have done? She knew he had seen her scars, and all he did was sit there and stare at her. Besides that, it was time for her to sing with the choir. She couldn't just sit there and watch him stare at her with what she was sure was disgust in his eyes. She saw it enough everyday from him and his groupies. Can't she get a break for an hour?
She couldn't think about him anymore, she promised herself she would get over him. She can't get over him if she's thinking about him all the time. She may be used to pain, but this is torture.
She can't be this girl. The one who's deduced to tears when she hears Eminem because he introduced her to it. She can't keep crying when she hears I love the way you lie or when she hears Clarity. They were "our songs." She can't keep crying when she needs help because he's gone.
She's going to change. She'll be more closed off, even "happier", but she can't think of this now. She has songs to sing and a guy to avoid.
*Jack*
After he watched her run away from him, he finally let it all out, months of guilt and regret reduced to a few tears. It's not enough to win her back, but it's enough to know why he wants her. She makes him who he is, she keeps him grounded.
He only wishes he had realize this sooner, before those scars appeared on her arms, before he broke her, before he lost it all.
But he needs to take action soon. Before he looses her completely. He remembers what they did and how great it made him feel, and how willing she was. He only wishes he didn't feel so great after they stopped talking. If only he'd looked in the mirror and saw the pain that was reflected in his own eyes.
He saw her singing on the risers and he could see the pain in her eyes that she was so desperately trying to hide. For a second he asked himself why it was there, and why he could still see it when he was so desperately trying to block it out. But he let her back in, he only hopes that she'll let him back in too.
