     *Luke*

The hallways seemed longer than usual as he walked to her room, granted he had only been there once and it had ended in disaster, but still one time was enough. With every step he takes he sees her sobbing face, he sees the look in her eyes when she realizes that he betrayed her, the guy she loved, the one she trusted with her heart. He remembers that she couldn't make a sound she was sobbing too hard. All he could hear for hours is her sobs, he's sure that he could hear them in his dreams, see her sobbing face. He wondered if he would ever be okay again, and he knew in his heart that he would not be okay again, he knew that he had to give himself up again.

The last time he gave himself up, he never got himself back. Would it be worth it? Probably not but its not like he could change his decisions, but now, now he gets to choose, is she worth it? That's an unanswered question he won't know unless she takes him back. Which is probably going to happen since she said that she loved him, but was it just a ploy to get him back? He wouldn't know and would he really care? No not at all, he just wanted her back, and he knew that talking to her would do that, so off he went to follow the yellow brick road, aka the black tiles.

It's ironic that the tiles are black, the symbol of death could lead the way to her, is that a symbol that this isn't going to work or is this is a new beginning? He didn't know what to think but in his heart he knew he was going to the one person he had always felt at home with, the one person he knew he would always love. The only problem is, will she always love him back? Is he the one that fills the spot in her heart, or is Jack? Will he ever truly know the answer to that?

In his mind he said no, but in his heart he knew that he would find the answer, but he didn't know what it would be. Would she pick him? Her hopefully true love, or would she pick Jack? Her first love, the one who crushed her time after time, if it was him, who would he pick? He doesn't know she is his first and true love, the one he will always be drawn to, the problem is does she feel the same way about him, or does she feel the same way about Jack? Only time will tell.

A/N: I know this chapter seems really short, but I feel like I have a good ending, and that this is a good place to take a break at, to mull over things.  I'm sure many of you despise this story, but thank you to that one person that is sitting here reading this because they like it not for malicious acts. You are the reason I keep on going, so thank you. Ta-ta for now!
