*Luke*

He could not get her out of his mind. She was like the plague filling his mind and taking over his body, after they exchanged texts, he felt like that weight in his chest was getting heavier not lighter at the prospect of seeing her. Her tear soaked face fills his mind, the betrayal in her eyes, it was almost too much to handle, but it wasn't. The prospect of never talking to her was, to never feel her in his arms again, to never see her beautiful blue eyes shine with love for him as they once had, it all terrified him, and that is why he needs to make things right, to fix what they once had, to fix what they hopefully still have.

He walked across those waxed floors watching the way the light bounced across them, with each step, he felt a bigger sense of dread filling his chest, he felt like his air was being constricted, but not from air, but from her, from their happiness, from his happiness. Why was he stopping himself from truly being happy? She was trying to change for him and he just rejected her, like she meant absolutely nothing to her, and maybe in her mind she did, maybe she thought she was just a play toy to him, and by the way that she was acting her couldn't really blame her. Was trying to fix everything going to break her heart? Or had he already made that final step and stabbed that dagger into her heart.

*Sam*

With every person that passed her door, her heart skipped a beat. She couldn't help but wonder about him, if the sweet stuff or if the ugly stuff he said was true. She trusted him with her heart, and what did he do? He stomped on it he tore it apart, but was he as bad as Jack? She forgave him for everything that he did to her the first time, and the second time, and well the third time too, but eventually she stopped being his punching bag. Was what Luke did worse than Jack's first, second, and third time? No what he did wasn't worse, but does that really mean that she should forgive him? Does comparing him to Jack do anything more than make her heart ache? No, no it doesn't but was she right? Should she forgive him?

Suddenly she looked up, the door slowly opened, a bunch of tiger lilies burst through the door, and for a second, she let go a sigh of relief, it wasn't Luke, it was just Alex, but the door slowly open wider and wider and her visitor's  face was finally revealed, and finally she just started to cry she started sobbing and hit the call button over and over again, she needed to get him out of here, she needed to save herself for the heartbreak that was sure to come if he even spoke a word, if she heard that voice that has comforted her so many times, if she heard Samantha come off his lips one last time, she would be past the point of no return, and at this point she wasn't even sure she could rise herself out of the hell that he left her in. He threw the lilies onto her bed with a card, and turned around and stared at her with those piercing blue eyes and she knew that he wasn't out of her life, that she would see him again, that this wasn't over that he would destroy her again.

She sent the one person she knew she loved a text and went back to sleep hoping  that when she woke up he would be waiting for her, he would be holding her hand telling her that everything would be alright, she knew that he had just destroyed her hours earlier, but she couldn't get over the fact that he was the one she needed him here, now, for better or for worse right?

"Luke, Jack is back he showed up at my room with tiger lilies and a card, he didn’t say anything just stared at me, but I have a feeling that this wasn’t the end that, he won't leave me alone after this, I need you here I know how you feel about me but right now I don’t care that you hate me, I just need you here right now, please I love you Luke, bye."

*Luke*

Luke looked up when he heard footsteps come towards him, he looked around, at first he saw no one, but he saw a hoodie figure, he realized that he has seen that jacket, somewhere in school, he just couldn’t place where. His phone rang, he didn't want to look away from the figure, but he was just standing there staring blankly at a wall, so he checked his phone and saw it was from Sam. AT first his emotions were conflicted he was sad Jack is tormenting her again but he was happy she loved him, just like how he loves her, but that can wait he needs to deal with Jack, and he needs to deal with him now.

"Yo! Brannan! Do you have a second? I think we need to talk a little bit." Boomed Luke. He tried to put as much confidence and arrogance as he once had, but he was dreading the conversation that was to come. He wasn't the same guy that he used to be, but he was sure Jack could pull him back in with a snap of fingers, unless he held onto the thought of Sam, the thought that everything was going to be alright as long as he stayed true to himself, but the problem was, even he didn't know who he was anymore. How could he fix the situation if he couldn't fix himself? Was it even worth trying? Was it worth trying for her? Yes, and at that moment, he had his answer.
