As the Pelican was reaching Sanghelios, the Spartans and Doctor were resting in their seats. Since Aloe was closest to the cockpit, she was looking out the window to watch all the orange tinged rocks fly by. "So, our mission is to help the Swords of Sanghelios in their battle against the Covenant here?" Joseph asked looking back a little. "Well, that is what they told us no?" Aloe said softly, still a little spaced out staring out the window. "And, we're doing this for how long?" "For as long as they need us." Aloe's head slowly lowered to look Joseph in the eye. "Shouldn't complain, I'm sure the Sangheili will treat us better than the UNSC." "True." Joseph agreed turning back around to land the Pelican.
As they got off Dr. Larson was first to look around smiling wide. "I've always seen pictures of this place, but seeing it in person is just so, breath-taking!" She sighed looking around in awe. "Alright, alright, enough sight-seeing. We are here on a mission Doc." Aloe walked past chuckling as the other Spartans followed. As they made it to the base camp the Arbiter walked up to them. "So you are the Spartans they have sent to assist us?" He asked looking them over. "That would be us." Aloe answered walking up to him. "And you must be this teams leader. I hope your skills do not lack." The Arbiter said looking past her over to Dr. Larson. "You are not a Spartan. Go over to my tent, there may be valuable information for you there. I am sure you will find it useful in your time here." The Doctor nodded and walked off to where he pointed. "As for the rest of you Spartans, I was told you will be fighting with us for quite some time. For that we have made special armor for you." Aloe tilted her head slightly. "And that armor would be?" Another Elite walked up and dropped a Helioskrill helmet on a rock beside her, its silver metal reflecting the light from the sun. "Well, get me some yellow paint and you got yourself a deal." Aloe looked over at the Arbiter as he gave a slight nod.
As the Swords were loading up their phantoms, the Spartans were suiting themselves up. "Well Spartans, I haven't gone through all of the Arbiters information, but I have enough. Im uploading it to your A.I.'s as for you Aloe, I'm sure your Watcher is getting itself up to date too." Dr. Larson spoke through their comms. "Thanks Doc, it's appreciated." Shepard responded putting on his helmet. As Alex was finishing up with painting his armor Jospeh was admiring himself. "Haha, look guys, it's like I'm one of them now!" Jospeh chuckled before leaning over in a stance, mocking the noises the Elites would make. As he did so a few looked over at him with a rather cross manner, Aloe elbowed Jospeh waving her hand. "Not cool dude. Not cool." Jospeh chuckled picking up his helmet walking off to the phantom. As Aloe approached the Arbiter he looked her over. "The armor suits you Spartan, as it does the rest of your team. Now if you're fighting is like that of the others I have seen, you will fit in just fine." Aloe nodded and slipped on her helmet. "We won't let you down." She reassured, as she did she noticed the Arbiter watching Jospeh slip on his helmet. "Hey, what's with the staring big guy?" Aloe asked looking at Joseph now too. "He has just brought back memories, of when I first put on the helmet, the helmet of the Arbiter." He spoke in a low tone before moving past to climb onto the Phantom. "Well...whatever it is about Jospeh, he has some strong links with the Covenant." Aloe said to herself before joining her team.
The Spartans were sitting on the edge of the Phantom watching the warfare go on below them. "You know, from all the way up here, all those explosions and stuff look kinda pretty. There's always been something about Covenant tech that always made the after math look like Hell but, appealing too." Joseph said grabbing his carbine and slowly standing up. "Yeah we get it, you get your peepee hard when it comes to this sorta stuff." Shepard said loading his grenade launcher. "Yeah fuck you too shitlips." Joseph looked down at the ground as Aloe loaded up her suppresser. "Alright you two, we got a battle to fight common lets go." Aloe walked over to the ledge as Alex was fixing his sniper. Before Alex could speak, Aloe pushed him off with her foot. "Fireteam Kazoo, the light is green!" Aloe jumped shortly after with Shepard and Joseph following suit. When all the Spartans landed it was an absolute hell, plasma rounds going off all around them, purple flames blazing wildly and erupting from destroyed vehicles and structures. As Swords landed some fell before they could find their footing, as Alex looked around to find cover he noticed one Elite fall to the ground, his lifeless corpse dropping a Delta Beam Rifle to its side. Alex looked around cautiously before running over and scooping up the rifle, dashing off to head to the back lines to find cover. As he did the other three ran forward, dodging plasma fire and other oncoming fire.
As Aloe, Joseph, and Shepard were fighting their way through the war torn land, the ground began shaking. They looked around to see if they could find the source of the tremors. "Oh fucking hell." Joseph began moving back a little. Aloe looking over before calling out. "Why are you falling back!?" Jospeh turned to face her before pointing into the direction he was looking. "Hunters!!" Aloe's head shot into that direction watching a group of Hunters slowly make their way across the battlefield shooting every enemy they could find. "Shepard, you and I have to take those things out, if they keep burning through troops they will for sure win this!" Shepard nodded and jumped over the rock he was using for cover. Aloe followed right after, laying down cover fire for Shepard as she did. Jospeh sat father behind shooting at the Hunters' heads to keep them from looking around. Shepard soon jumped onto the back of one Hunter, grabbing one of his grenades and shoving it into the Hunters back, Aloe slide right under that Hunter, pulling out her Scattershot she aimed for the Hunter she was sliding towards. Landing a shot right under the Hunters neck causing it to fall back and turn to nothing but orange flakes. The Hunter in front of it soon exploded falling forward, the other Hunters roared and slammed their metal shield around trying to hit Shepard and Aloe. Soon the other Hunters began falling as Aloe and Shepard began recollecting themselves. Alex, from far away, had shot down the remaining Hunters. "Looked like you guys could use some help." Alex spoke over their comms. "Yeah, thanks kid." Aloe responded slowly moving back with Shepard to regain their cover.
Soon the battle was over, Covenant began retreating as any stragglers were killed off. The moon was already in the sky as the Spartans began regrouping. "Good job out there guys, gotta say we did amazing." Aloe said happily as the rest finally stepped up. "Again, you're welcome for getting rid of those Hunters." Alex said with pride in his voice. "Yeah, yeah kid. Don't get a big head about it." Shepard patted his back and Joseph laughed. "Well lets start heading back, I think this victory deserves a little celebration." Jospeh stated as he started heading towards a Phantom. The others nodded and followed after.
As the Phantom was flying through the sky Aloe was watching the scenery fly past her. "You know though, the Doctor is right. This place is real pretty." She spoke softly. "Yeah, yeah, don't start getting all mushy now. Oh wait, I forget youre a girl too." Shepard said as Joseph made a sharp "Oh" in response laughing a little. "Ah, fuck you. Can't let a girl live a little?" Aloe shook her head. "Hey, you were the one that told the Doc that we aren't here for sight seeing after all." Shepard shrugged. Aloe scoffed and looked back outside while flipping Shepard the bird. "We just finished our mission for tonight. So fuck off."
