Chapter 8

The pumpkin snack balls were quickly made, luckily.

"Ooh, what are those orange thingies?" Sapph asked, putting a ball in her mouth.
"How weird tasting" she sang with her mouth full, "it's good though!"
"Really?" Y/N asked, "what a relief..."

Not like the wolves would have told her 'this tastes like shit' after feeding them, those articles said they ate literal trash.

The pumpkin balls were put in a small drawstring bag and shoved in her pocket. She wasn't sure if when she would see the wolf again, so keeping it within hand reach would probably be the best.

It felt like the day after the first encounter all over again.
Y/N kept looking around to see if she saw Chocolate, but nothing.
She was remembered of that saying "when you're looking for it, it's nowhere to be found".

The car stopped.

Y/N returned from her thoughts and smiled. The wolves could come later, right now she was going to have fun with her friends.

Elegant, black letters above the building showed the name of the cafe.

Bonita.

It sounded very girlish.
A soft bell rang as Ally pushed the door open.
The inside was.. very nice actually.
The walls were made from wood panels in all tints.
The tables and seats were all wood too. On every chair there was a black pillow. Almost every decoration was either black or from wood.
It gave a rustic feeling.

Y/N did freeze a bit as she saw a giant drawing of a wolf against the wall.
Really?
Was that a joke?
Jesus, these things were following her everywhere.

Sapph chose a seat at the window for them. A list of drinks was on the table.
"Oh~ A lot of different sorts of coffee here" Sapph noted, "Ally, that's perfect for that bitter heart of yours."
"You really want me to break your nose do you?" Ally asked with a glare.
"Nah, I'll call you if I ever want a nose job done."

Y/N looked at the card, "I really like the card though.. Ice coffee, ice tea, homemade lemonade, exotic beers, ..."
Ally nodded, "Looks good indeed. I do like some coffee."

"See? Bitter drinks for a bitter person!"
"I swear if I got one fucking cent for every time you do this shit I wouldn't even need a job."
"Either way," Sapph ignored their pissed friend, "Y'all ready to order?"
They all chose a drink. Y/N had a (favorite flavor) iced tea, Ally a frappe coffee and Sapph a pumpkin spice ice coffee.

They had really fancy drinks here, but it was also pretty affordable.
Hopefully it also tasted good.

A man with red hair brought their drinks.
The second he left, Sapph nudged Y/N with her elbow.

"Y/N, don't you think that guy was really handsome? Like, I'm gay as fuck but damn."
"Sapph oh my god what if he heard you."
"No worries. He was way too far away to hear! But don't you agree??"
Well... the guy did have something, but??
"I-I don't know..! He looked good sure, but-"
"He did! His hair was dyed right? I wonder how he'd look with his original hair color... You think he'd be light or dark colored?"
"How should I know.." Y/N said with a chuckle, "The red was nice though."

Y/N took a second to look at Ally and nearly busted a nut from laughing.

The guy was sitting with his back turned from them, awkwardly sipping his frappe trying to keep away from this scene with all of his might.
His face screamed, 'I do not know these people nor want to be associated with them' and Y/N approved.

"Hmm... How would I look with red hair like that?" Sapph wondered, making Ally sigh in relief that the topic has shifted.
"I'm not sure" Y/N admitted, "I can't imagine you with anything but your natural color."
"But I'm blonde, blonde is easy to paint, right? I should use that as my advantage!"
"You could. I think you could really rock out bright hair colors though."
Sapph smiled brightly, "You think so?"
Ally chuckled, "If you want to dye your hair, just do it. No one will stop you, and if you don't like the color: dye it back."
"That's true.. Ally where did you dye your hair?" Sapph asked.
"Hm? My neighbor is a hairdresser, so I just asked her."
"Is she good?"
"I guess. I can ask her if she'd give you a discount."
"Really?? Thank you! Maybe you're not as coffee-like bitter after all!"

"Talking about coffee," Y/N started, "Ally, I heard the song Coffee from that band you like."
Ally's grinned, "Really? What did you think?"
"I liked it!" She exclaimed.
Sapph lifted her head in confusion, "Huh? What song?"
"The song Coffee from BTS, that K-pop band" Ally explained.
"Ooh! Those guys!" Sapph nodded, "Haven't listened to them yet. Well, except for that song you keep spamming the car's speaker with."
"We Are Bulletproof pt. 2" Ally clarified.
"Is that also from the same band?" Y/N asked, "Wow, I've been under a rock. You play that song every time we use the car."
"I really like it, even if it's one of their earliest songs and they've had much more since then."
"I see... Do they have a lot of albums?"

"Yeah. Some are smaller albums, and some are just Japanese versions, but overall they release a lot. There are also shows and skits where they just play games and stuff, but I'm more into the music itself."
Sapph nodded, "Tv shows seem like fun though."
"Their latest album was released last December. They're slowly starting to become known all over the world!"
"I heard a lot of different voices though" Y/N noted, "How many members are there..?"
"Seven."

Sapph frowned, "That's so fucking much?? How do they all get lines??"
Ally ignored her question and took out his phone, showing a picture of seven guys.

"The tallest one on the very left is V, his voice is deep as fuck.
Next to him is Suga, who raps fast as fuck.
The smallest member is Jimin, he's small as fuck. Ok all jokes aside, his voice is gorgeous.
Then you have Jungkook, he's the youngest member. He used to be part of the rapper line but shifted more towards singing.
The other tall guy is RM, the leader of the group and a rapper, he's the only dude who knows English.
Next to him you have the guy with the broad shoulders: Jin, his voice is really.. pure? Don't fucking know.. He doesn't get as many lines, but the man sounds amazing.
Last in the pic is J-Hope. Singing, rapping, he can both, but he sticks to rapping. His dancing is ridiculously good."

"Crap Y/N we need to step up our game," Sapph said, "These dudes have much better legs than us."
Ally stopped his inner fanboy and stared at her with a dull, empty expression.
Y/N couldn't help but awe at how happy Ally was to talk about this band.
It was uncharacteristically cute.

After 4 drinks each they decided to go home. It was already very late at this point. Luckily it was a Saturday tomorrow.

Sapph plopped down on the car's back seat and yawned loudly.
"I had fun.."
"Me too" Y/N said, "We should go there more."

Ally sat down at the driver's seat with a sigh, "I guess I could TRY and make some more time to hang out..."
"You should!" Sapph complained, "We're the three amigos and you cannot undo that!"
"Yeah yeah" Ally muttered, starting the car.

The car made this awkward sound before falling silent.

"Heh?"

And this is how they ended up walking home.

"Great job Ally" Sapph groaned.
"As if I could have done anything!"
"I mean, it's your car!"
"It's my parents' car."
"Hey don't fight now!" Y/N lectured them, as if they were bickering children, "At least it didn't break down WHILE we were driving."

"I mean, on one side that would suck," tried Sapph, "but on the other side we'd probably wouldn't have to go to school on Monday."
"Jesus Sapph, no."

"At least it's not raining" Sapph reasoned, "So I guess it's not that bad."
"Don't jinx us here" Ally remarked, looking up to the sky in distrust.

The walk ended up being not that bad after all. Of course, the car would have been preferable, but Y/N was once again reminded about how boringly safe this town was. Well, not counting the pack of wolves roaming around somewhere, she knew.

With a sigh she took the spall bag with the snacks. Would she even be able to give it to them, ever?

"Oh yeah, Y/N, why do you keep playing around with those snacks?"
"Ah" Y/N smiled awkwardly, "I'm.. uh.. kind of waiting to give them to someone..."
"Really? A boyfriend? Or girlfriend? Oh is it fOR ME??"

She couldn't help but giggle, "No Sapph.. They're someone who helped me out yesterday. I'm just not sure when I'll see the bunch again.. I do want to give them these soon.."

"I'm sure whoever it is will turn up sooner or later" Ally reassured, "No need to be on edge about it."
"That's true.."

She should have known, that whenever she had thoughts like this, the unlikely would happen.

"Y/N!!"
