Foxy nervously held on to the wheel. "You think they ain't gonna be found near the park?"
Nick nodded his head. "I remember one time me and my boy jumped this rhino who was talking mad shit, and a cop saw the whole thing unfold. So we ran all the way to there. Cop of course found us, but we was chilling for about like three hours. Got five months in juvie and two months of probation, but no one talked shit about me or my homies for the rest of the school year."
"Yeah that was a cop, this is some high tech asshole who want's to end us."
"True." Nick drummed on his door to the beat of the music. "Hey man can I ask you a question, since Andr ain't here?"
Foxy cocked his eyebrow for a second. "Yeah, what's up?"
Nick turned his body towards him. "When we were in that world, you said something about trying to find your daughter."
Foxy cut in. "What daughter? I never had one." He took a turn, looking at the GPS on the dashboard.
"Really?"
"Yeah. I don't really remember some things. But I'm sure I wasn't a parent. That's the one thing I know happened."
Nick sat back, pointing at a building. "There. That's the club." A neon sign hung out the front. Graffiti covered itself and the building. Bullet holes were spread over the the front.
Foxy pulled over, parking. "I would feel safer going back to the middle east than going in there."
Nick scoffed. "So you saying you scared?"
"I don't get scared by a lot of things."
"Same here. I guess when you had smoked for the first time at the age of 11 and been fighting since the age of ten, shit never really gets to you. As well as getting shot at, shot, stabbed, mugged, kidnapped, drugged, stabbing, killing, and being a drug runner."
Foxy looked back, his tall stature sticking out in the sidewalk. "You killed when you was ten?" He pulled up his shorts, keeping his white shirt out.
Nick shook his head. "No man, that was when I was fifteen but don't let Carrots know."
They opened the door at the front, leading down to some stairs. They could hear the heavy bass of the music exploding from below. "Remind me to not go into this club again." Foxy remarked, going down.
Nick waved him off, "Wait until you see the inside." He followed him down.
(Play at a loud volume if you choose to)
Lights bounced throughout the inside. Other mammals were either dancing, drunk as shit, or sitting down in couches near the back. Half nude wolves walked around with drinks in their hands.
Nick scanned the club. "I don't see him. He's a little shorter than average so your tall ass can see him from above. Got big white ears, probably got some girls on him."
They walked around, bumping into the other patrons. Foxy's vision was full of spots caused by the blue lights, flashing on to everyone. "You see them over there?" He pointed to a group near the back.
Nick began making his way over. "Maybe," he replied. He cut through them, reaching the front.
A short white fox sat in the middle, surrounded by other mammals. His blue shirt fit with the blue tone of the club. He looked up, taking note of Nick. "I gotta leave, nigga's. Gotta get back to work and shit." He stood up, reaching Nick's shoulder. "Where's yo friend at?"
