Leah yawned, her ears twitching. "How long is this damn walk?"

"Bro same. Feels like I just walked from Bunnyburrow's to the Sahara," Cody complained. He put his paw on a stop sign next to him, stretching his legs out.

A black SUV sped by them, going through the stop sign. "It's not that far, you guys acting like we walking from Kyle's ego down to Leah's height."

Cody laughed, the three walking across the street. "Man that's cold as shit."

Leah, on the other hand, only cracked a smile. "Funny." She paused, thinking of something to quip at. "Remember when you dated that one rabbit and you thought you were the shit, even though you broke up with her like two weeks later."

"Damn nigga she hit you wit that ex shit," Cody said. Paul stayed silent for a moment. They continued walking, a loud crack splitting the silence.

Leah jumped. "Was that a gunshot?"

"Yeah. Sounded like it was about five blocks away," Cody replied. "We should probably stay away fro-"

Two more cracks emitted from the same area, yelling ensuing in the background. Another car raced by, their shirts waving in the air.

Little did they know that their adoptive parents would be in the central of this.
