Foxy pointed to a door, leading them over. He opened the door, a stream of gunfire puncturing the door. "Andr, can you see if you can distract them?" Bullet holes filled the wall behind them.

"I can't, they have some sort of technology that doesn't allow me to get into their head." She fired through the broken door.

Nick reloaded and began to shoot covering fire. They entered, concrete pillars obstructing their view. They hid behind them. Bullets clipped the edges. He looked behind the soldiers, a door labeled 'Control Center. "The control center is right there! See if you can distract them!"  Metal tables were sprinkled with lead.

Foxy managed to hit two soldiers. They were pushed back but unfazed. He popped out again, this time firing at their head. They instantly dropped, their squad mates gazing down for a second. "I can hear more coming! Better clear these guys out and then we'll cover you from out here!"

Andr caught one of them peeking. His head exploded in a gory paste, staining the pillar he was taking cover behind. "I don't think guns are supposed to do that to you."

"Yeah and we're supposed to be deaf, but we're in a book, sooo anything can happen," Foxy quipped. He quickly reloaded, firing more shots at the last two soldiers. A bullet hit his vest, knocking him down.

"Oh shit!" Andr quickly pulled him up, pushing him against the pillar.

"Damn, girl. You are a real life saver." He shot the last remaining soldiers, yells coming from behind them. "Nick! Hurry up and get in there!"

Nick ran towards the door, the others pushing the metal tables over and using them as cover. He opened the door, slamming it behind him. The room had a green tinge to it, computers beeping. It was as if whoever was there just left it in a hurry. As he walked around, he checked his rifle, looking for magazines.
"Damn it. I should of picked up the ammo," he mumbled. He saw near the front of the room was a opened section of the wall, next to a keypad.

Gunshots erupted from behind him, yells accompanying them. His tail flinched, slinging his rifle around his shoulder and keeping his pistol out. He rushed to the open wall and hastily climbed up the stairs. "Where the hell does this go to?" They went in a spiral, the lighting becoming brighter and brighter until he saw the beginnings of a room.

"Why the fuck doesn't it work!" Ashton stood near a keyboard, frantically typing. He held a pistol in one paw and wore nothing but black uniform.

Nick raised his gun up, crouching low. His rifle skid across the ground, alerting Ashton.

He whipped around, clicking the hammer of his gun. "You almost got to me." He laughed softly.

Standing up, he kept his aim on him, now only a few feet away. "Guess we're at a stand off." The muscles in his arm clenched up.

"Indeed. Just let me ask a question." They began to circle eachother. "What are you going to do to stop me, Nick Wilde?" A smirk widened on his cheeks.

"I'm guessing you're the one behind this?"

"Answer my question and then I'll answer yours."

Silence draped over them. The faint sound of bullets were fading out. "Kill you."

"My soldiers have already had their orders given. If they disobey, they will be sent to prison." He lowered his pistol to his hip, still keeping it on him.

"The order to kill all humans? What's wrong with you!"

Ashton tilted his head up. His black fur seemed to glow in the room. "Humans are what created this mess."
