CHAPTER 19

Don't you guys think its high time you take this relationship to the next level said my dad. We were having a big family get together  dinner with Richard's family when dad decided to break the peaceful silence, immediately dad said those words I choked on my food I coughed out loud that it distracted everyone Richard had to rub my back and give me a glass of water so I could stop coughing
" Dad! What do you mean by next level? I asked still coughing, "I mean when are you guys gonna get married said dad, "yeah that's actually true I have been meaning to ask that exact question said Margret smiling mischievously, " Ermmh I was actually thinking of that but I wanna do it at the right time replied Richard as he kissed my right hand I had surprise written all over my face when he said that heaven knows I wasn't ready to get married anytime soon, the only time I knew the thought of marriage gave me butterfly feelings was when Chris and I  planned how our wedding would be and how many kids we were going to have but since he died I really didn't fancy marriage and there were so many things I was still learning about Richard  like what he likes and dislikes, when he is the mood to play and when he is not (he is mostly not in the mood to play with me he thinks its childish) though I love him but I don't think I'm ready to be committed to him I guess I still need a little time to think things through....."honey what do you think about the idea of us getting married said Richard, "Ermmh ye...yeah...that w..i..ll be a good idea I stammered, but not any time soon, " why? Seems like you are not really sure if you love my son said Margret with a smirk on her face, "of course I love him I replied.. "She has no choice than to love him he is a good man said my annoying father with his awkward smile. We went on with our meals when Margret decided to embarrass Olivia who has been quiet through out the dinner, I invited her cause she is part of family and I didn't want her being all by her self at home, " young lady where is your husband or should I say your boyfriend you look so pregnant and alone, I could see how embarrassed Olivia was she couldn't eat her meal anymore, "Margret she is my guest and if you don't mind i'd prefer you don't make her uncomfortable I replied with sass in my voice, " Tasha I think I'll just go home it was nice being here with all of you immediately Olivia stood up and walked out of the garden, I quickly followed her behind...."Oli, Oli I called after her but she kept walking faster, "Olivia stop! I yelled, I knew she was crying I could hear her sniffing as soon as she stopped, " I'm sorry for what Margret said, she is a mean person I said wiping the tears on Olivia's cheeks, "I'm a pregnant lonely woman cried  Olivia, "Oli! I told you not to listen to what she said don't let her define who you are.

This was the first Christmas I didn't spend with Chris it felt really awful, weird and boring i had never imagined any of my Christmas being so boring as this I kept tossing and rolling on my bed endlessly Olivia had already gone for one of her colleagues birthday party even though she invited me but I opted to stay at home and relax so that made me home alone, I was really surprised I hadn't received any call from Richard and when I tried calling him several times it kept going on voicemail until later in the evening when he  finally called inviting me for a dinner, as usual Richard's mother organized a get together for both families but this time around she organized it in her restaurant which she owned. Her restaurant was one of the most highly ranked restaurant in Vegas it was quite expensive though but they had really nice meals and good services too. I met new people from Richard's family his cousins, aunt, uncles and even his grandparents it was quite a huge dinner I think that made my Christmas  less boring even Mr Walter was there it was so good seeing him in a casual wear other than his usual suite and tie, together with him was a beautiful black lady she was fucking gorgeous I must say black people are really beautiful I guess she was his girlfriend. There was enough to eat and drink there was also different games to play I really had a swell time playing with Richard's little cousins they were really smart kids.
The worst shock of my life happened when we were eating, Richard suddenly knelt down on one knee and brought out a silver ring  the ring looked so expensive  it had a sliver stone on it which was shaped in form of a heart"Will you marry me? he said with smiles on his face, everyone's attention was on us this time around, I could see my dad nodding his head meaning I should say yes I was really shocked.. this is the moment I have been so afraid of I wasn't ready to be engaged or even married right now I could hear everyone in the background saying " come on Natasha say yes!...I was really confused my heart beat was so fast it was racing like a sport car my throat became dry all of a sudden and my stomach was rumbling I stared deep into Richard's eyes I saw how his eyes sparkled he looked really cute and I know saying No to him will just break him apart and it will be really embarrassing. "Come on Natasha say yes already yelled everyone, the words slowly came out from my mouth " y-e-s I will marry you I said softly as I stretched my hand , without hesitation Richard slipped the ring on my finger it was so beautiful on my finger, Richard kissed my hand ..excitement was written all over his face and everyone's face too, I was really surprised when Margaret wrapped me in a bear hug and pecked me on the cheeks she was so happy I said yes to her son, Mr Walter was also excited and congratulated me
The remaining activity continued everyone was so excited that I accepted Richard's proposal they started talking about organizing an engagement party, due to how happy my dad was he even wrapped me in a bear hug and pecked me on the cheeks "you have made me proud whispered my dad  I felt really pained when my dad said I had made him proud so in all my little achievements saying yes to Richard was the only good thing I have done in my life I was quite hurt .After everything Richard drove me home he wouldn't let go of me he kept kissing and hugging me, " I have to go now am so tired I really need to sleep I said weakly, I was glad when Richard finally agreed to let go of me I kissed him on the lips for a brief moment and went straight into the house, Olivia's eyes were glued to the TV and her mouth was busy as usual chewing her popcorn she didn't even notice I was back I coughed several times so she could know I was back but that did not still get her attention she was really engrossed in the movie, I finally had to stand in her view before she noticed me "Tasha you are obstructing me can you just go please! She yelled childishly " Oli he proposed I said weakly with sadness on my face showing Olivia the ring on my finger Olivia was so excited when I said that she kept screaming and calling me Mrs Tyler awwnn the ring is so beautiful she exclaimed she was really a drama Queen indeed I wonder where she got all the energy to scream "but you don't look happy at all what's wrong? she asked with a frown on her forehead, " I don't think am ready to get married I sighed.
I know today is suppose to be the happiest day of my life since I got engaged but I felt really sad the only thing I could think of was Chris , "hey you're starring into space again I thought you said you were sleepy said Olivia startling me " oli I know this will sound really awful but I really miss Chris so much I replied with tears in my voice, "common tasha, Chris is already dead and its been almost a year now and you still miss him this much this won't be fair to Richard once he hears this said Olivia sitting on my bed , " I know I sound really selfish but I just can't help it, tears ran down my cheeks, "you really have to let Chris go and start a new life with Richard.

The buzzing from my phone woke me up, I grumbled childishly as I stretched my right hand to carry my phone from the lamp stand it was an unknown number calling, I quickly answered the call " yeah who the hell is this I said rudely, "hey young lady this  is Margret, how the hell did she get my number I mumbled to myself,  " we have a wedding to plan so I need you to get some of your stuffs and move to my house said Margret.
I was really pissed at what Margret said why would she want me to move to there family house just because we want to plan for a wedding "I think you should just go maybe she has her reasons why she wants you to stay with them said Olivia, " but oli that won't be fair to you, you will be here all alone  I replied sadly, "tasha I really don't mind I will be fine on my own said Olivia I could see the sadness in her eyes when she said that if only Anderson was reasonable enough they would have made a perfect couple, " I won't go there I can't imagine you staying here alone plus you're pregnant and you need me around to help with some stuffs I said,
Olivia insisted I went to stay with Margaret she even helped me pack my stuffs. Richard came to pick me up "do I really have to stay with your mom in order to prepare for the wedding and engagement party I said trying to put on my seat belt "yes baby I think it's for the best at least you guys will get to bond well replied Richard . When we finally got to the house everyone seemed to be so busy Richard carried my box to his room "why is everyone so busy I asked looking confused "oh I forgot to tell you that some of my business partners are coming over so we're having a little get together here that's why everyone is trying to put the place in order replied Richard unbuttoning his shirt.
Later that evening the house was full of different people, sounds of laughter everywhere, I just laid in bed playing candy crush, the door opened it was Richard he walked to the bed and sat down close to me"babe my friends want to say hi to you said Richard  burying his head on my breast, "Baby am tired am not in the mood to say hi to anyone I mumbled... without hesitation Richard carried me out of the bed in bridal style, I giggled like a 5years old cause I felt tickly.

Yeah I Know it took forever to post a new chapter and am really sorry about that I've just been busy with alot of things. I hope y'all love this chapter don't forget to vote and comment
