Chapter two "Retreat"

  I lay my head down on the soft grass, And once again close my eyes. I shift to my left, then my right. I feel something touch my wrist, A sharp pain flows through my left arm. My arm begins to bleed, Uncontrollably. I begin to panic, What is this? What an odd dream. I grasp the wound and try to stop the bleeding. My right arm, Begins to bleed. I scream in pain. My eyes open, Finally. I lunges upwards and begin to breathe heavily. I look around me, and begin to calm down.

I leave my tent, And look around for katana. To check on her bear wounds. Candace has already left the tent, To hunt for food. I grab the silky cloth that is her tent door, and fling it to the side. I enter the tent and smile warmly. "How are your bear wounds doing?" I question.
  "Better, Poppy seeds would be a good idea, Fetch me some" Katana demands.
  "Ok, I'll be back soon." I turn to leave the tent, But I'm stopped by katana.
  "We leave in three days, it'll be a full moon" Katana explains. I merely turn to her, and stare. I exit the tent and search off for poppy seeds. I journey off to the spot where I usually go to get the seeds. Most of the plants have died, So I take the remaining seeds from the living plant. I turn back to head to camp, When I hear chattering. Not your typical mole chatter- humans. It must've been the men Candace saw yesterday! I need to head back at once! I begin to sprint, Time seems to have frozen while I run. Every breath felt slower, Every step felt like an eternity. When I finally arrived at the camp I fling open katanas tent.

  "Get everyone, right now. We need to leave at once" I demand.
  "Why?" Katana questions.
"The men- I saw them. I think they saw me- we have to leave" I murmur under my breath.
  "I thought you were eager to fight them off" Katana joked.
  "I was. They have guns, We don't. We're defenseless." I explain.

  Katana gets up and gathers fritz and Candace. The four of us begin to pack our things. Candace enters our den, and she begins to speak. "Katana And Fritz got the food and water. Get the rest of your things, we're heading out"
  "Alright." I turn back to gather the last of my things when I hear gunfire from outside- They found us. I run outside and look around. Candace isn't anywhere in sight, Katana is hiding behind a tree. But fritz- she's using dark magic. I look to my right to see a tree covered in black dust, it begins to float. Her eyes squint, as she throws the tree at the men. At the same time, one of the men shoots a bullet right into her rib cage. She screams in agony, and begins to murmur a spell. As she does this, another bullet enters right by her shoulder. She falls to the ground and begins to bleed uncontrollably. I run over, Holding by backpack over my face, to protect it. I grasp fritz' body and drag it off, Katana looks up at me and begins to follow. The men shoot at me as the three of us escape the camp. Candace! I forgot her! But I cannot stop now, I need to keep fritz safe, along with Katana. As katana and I drag fritz' body. She begins to speak.
  "She'll Be Fine, This happened when she escaped Ordem as well." She explains.
  "Candace" I murmur back.
"You know her, she'll be fine." Katana explains.

  We arrive at a town, and look around. This is our new home.
