Peter and Michelle

Shes here part 2

Michelle couldn't take it anymore so she left the party, it's not like she was having fun anyway. Watching Peter with Liz. And when she tried to talk to Ned, he was over flirting with Betty. Ned's dream girl. So Michelle thought it was best to leave them alone. Leave all of them alone.
It probably wasn't the best to walk herself home though. After all, that's been happening with this shadow guy. But she wasn't scared, bring it on! She would dare some stupid guy to come to attack her, she would put him on his ass. There was one thing she learned from her Dad before his death, and that was to fight. But then again she was wearing a skirt and some high heels of some sort. But that never stopped any other women, so why would it stop her.
She could be like any other girl at her school. But she wasn't, and she liked it that way. Her dad told her one thing before he left. And that was to never change herself for anyone, and she didn't. She was never into that shit anyways. Heels, skirts, makeup, that was never her scene. So why would she change all that for Peter? Michelle couldn't explain it, it was to complicated. Her stomach would always feel like it was compacted with bugs of some sort. And sometimes she would get nervous around him, of course, she didn't show it though.
She closed her eyes to focus on anything, but the darkness around her. She hated liking him, her best friend. It was so easy to ignore when he would be put his full attention on Liz. Because it didn't hurt her as much. She didn't think about him in that way. Life was good then. Now its all complicated.
"Hey", she turned around to find the voice belonged to none other than Ned. "How'd you know where to find me," she asked looking back down at the ground. "Um I saw you were leaving, so I thought I would follow you to make sure you're ok. You know with Shadowman or whatever" Ned said taking a seat by her carefully. "Yeah, why wouldn't I find," Michelle asked with a straight face, showing no emotion what so ever. "Because you like Peter, and he is with Liz right now" Ned stated in a soft tone. He was trying to choose his words carefully.
"You know," Michelle asked feeling stupid, "was it obvious". "No but you're not the only one that's observant," Ned said playing with his own fingers. "Oh. Peter doesn't know does he" She asked, trying to sound as calm as possible. She didn't want him to know how weak she really was.
                      "No, but don't you think there is a chance that he likes you back," Ned asked trying, to figure out what was going on in her head. "Not really because we're just friends. That's all will ever Be". "If that was the case Peter wouldn't walk you to school every morning, or secretly follow you home after school. He wouldn't care about your well being so much. And when we made that dare, and he punched Flash. He got jealous for crying out loud, it was so obvious. He
Gets jealous of any boy that looks at you. Peter doesn't do that for anyone! He only does it for you" Ned hissed. Michelle stood up, "Ned that's not true, I bet he did that stuff for Liz easily or anyone for that matter".
              "Whatever you say Mj. Hey, how about we get you home. If you don't get home safely Peter will kill me" Ned laughed out. "Ha, ha, ha, so very funny,"   Michelle said sarcastically, "yeah take me home Ned".
