Peter and Michelle

Fear?

               "So you guys are good now," Ned asked as he sat down at the lunch table. "Yeah, why wouldn't we be," Peter asked laughing."Um...you guys had your real first fight. So I was just wondering" Ned said picking up his sandwich. "it wasn't big enough to be a fight," Michelle said disagreeing with Ned's statement. "Yeah more like a disagreement," Peter said agreeing with Michelle.
             "So what's the news with Shadowman," Ned asked changing the subject. "Honestly not that much" Peter answered truthfully. "what do you mean,"Ned asked curiously. "This Shadowman hasn't been causing any trouble lately"  Peter replied while shoving his salad in his mouth. "Shouldn't that worry you??"Michelle asked while peeking around her book to face Peter. Peter gave her an unknowingly look, "What do you mean?" Peter asked. "Well if he's not causing any trouble that means he's planning something big loser," Michelle said as she looked down back at her book. "oh," Peter and Ned said in unison. "What would you losers do without me". "honestly I don't know " Ned laughed out.

         "ok, so I found so an article about him in the new york times", Ned said staring seriously at his computer screen, "it states that he was spotted two days ago. But guys that's about it".
              "where did they spot him," Peter asked walking over to see the article. "Close to Midtown High" Ned replied turning the screen to face Peter and Michelle. "While let's go see where the picture was taken, and see what's there. I mean there has to be something, right? I mean what else do we have to lose". Michelle said, speaking slowly so the two boys would understand.
         "Yeah sounds like a plan," Ned said beaming with excitement. Ned quickly grabbed his Laptop ready to go. "Woah, don't you think we should find out a little more about him," Michelle said. She stepped in front of Ned and quickly grabbed his laptop. "We need to find more on this guy. Or else we will be going in there with nothing. That would be like facing death himself, that's just stupid" Michelle stated, as she sat down and opened the laptop. "yeah I guess" Ned agreed as he rolled his eyes.
             "it says here, that he uses your fears against you," Michelle said, showing Ned and Peter. "So he used your fear against you. He got in your head, that's how he won last time"Ned asked. But it sounded more like a statement, than a question.
"I don't know. It's not really important anyway" Peter said closing the laptop. "whats that suppose to mean," Ned asked. "It means you guys aren't going," Peter said in a calming manner. "what why," Ned asked obviously disagreeing with Peter. "Because it's dangerous," Peter said putting on his suit. "And I really need you to be my guy in the chair" Peter finish off as he climbed out of his window. "hey loser," Michelle said before he could shut the window, "be careful". And with that Peter left.
