"We follow his path that leads to insanity," Angel had previously said. He hears Sherrie yell his name. He turns around to look at Joyce holding Lexie hostage. "Get near me and I will snap her neck!" said Joyce.
"I thought you were with us!" shouted Angel. "I was never with you. I knew your emotions towards me would lead you to believe that I'd help you! You're so vulnerable around me, and I'll use it to take advantage of you. The advantage you had was that I used you to bring me close to Lexie. I will soon make her suffer to death! Her mind shall be broken just like mine! You shouldn't have trusted me, for trust can be lost when you least expect it! Bringing Lexie was your mistake, and you will regret it!" "What benefit will you get from all of this?!" Angel asked fiercely.
"The pleasure to end Lexie once and for all. I need her out of my way. She'll do anything to help you get rid of the shadows! Grieve might believe you're the key to ending his reign, but I believe Lexie holds the key to finding your father's note. Afterwards, I want to be the one to kill all the shadows for my pleasure."
"If you want to get rid of them, then why are you with them?!" asked Angel. "I need all the information to know exactly where to strike!" Angel realized Joyce was lying. She never wanted to get rid of the shadows. She wanted to be one of them, but why?
Grieve must've manipulated her harder than he thought. Her mind would break fully if he's not careful. "Let me take Lexie, and none of you will get hurt," stated Joyce. "What's the plan, Angel?" asked Sherrie. "The plan is simple... Let Joyce take Lexie." "You can't be serious!?" yelled Sherrie.
"Just let her. We'll get there in time." "In time?" Sherrie questioned Angel's opinion. "Yes, at the exact moment before it's too late." After their conversation, Angel shouted to Joyce, "Take her. But if I find you near me, in a sadistic state, I will make sure to kill you. Never to mourn over your death. I will let my mind know that you have betrayed me, and I will abandon you for it. I will forget any moments we had. Never love you again! Just remember all of this before your last breaths!"
To which Joyce replied, "Don't worry, you'll turn demented before that ever happens. You won't be able to think properly, and that's when you'll realize you've just killed a friend. See you soon, love!" With that said, Joyce escaped Angel's sight. Joyce was running through a dark forest. Lexie struggled to get out of Joyce's arms.
Angel whispered to himself, "She is not my love anymore, but I will fix her to sanity." Sherrie looked at Angel as he walked a few steps away. Sherrie followed Angel. Sherrie asks Angel, "Shouldn't we get more people?" "Do you see anyone else around here!? There are no other people!" Sherrie replied, "No, what I meant was..." Angel interrupts and says, "Look, it's just you and me now. I'm done playing his stupid, evil games! Joyce is done as well. There will be no more planning. Our only objective is to put an end to Grieve—an end to his torture. I don't care what the book says! I'm doing it my way this time! I'll make sure to trap him with no options of escape!" Angel had laughed manically as he said this.
"So, first we're going to destroy his building?" asked Sherrie. "All his buildings!" replied Angel as he grinned. "How are we going to destroy all?" "By using Joyce to our advantage!" "Lexie did say something about taking advantage of someone." "I know that specific person is me, Sherrie. I can't believe you'd even think that! What Lexie should've mentioned was taking dominance over Joyce! Did she not mention that Joyce is very dangerous in this state?" asked Angel with red, flaming, torturous eyes. Sherrie did not reply to that question. Sherrie kept following Angel. She feared he would not be stable and hurt her. She knew that if he had turned into fear, she could not stop him. Angel's mental stability decreased every fourteen minutes.
Meanwhile, at the hidden underground lair... The doors opened for Joyce. She walked down a few long stairways. Finally, she made it to the ground. The lair was very well hidden underneath the middle of the entire globe. Joyce is then confronted by the four shadows. She gives them the secret code, "Constrained, restrained, sadistic brain, and never contained." With that said, the shadows let her into Grieve's private room.
