Chapter forty-two

Randy’s P.O.V

I did everything I could to heal Emily. She groaned form the aching in her back. She could not lay on it and she can barely stand the pain. Paige had apologized multiple times to Emily, and Emily forgave her.

“You are only obeying them…I don’t blame you.” My baby was so forgiving, I smiled, pulling her hair back and kissing her temple. I followed her example and forgave Paige as well.

“You better take care of that…” I said to her, referring to the Diva’s Championship belt. Paige nodded before descending to Hunter. I suddenly snapped, getting up and thrusting Hunter to the wall. He crashed into it as I punched his nose.

“You fucking bastard!” I cried, not realizing something.

I continued to beat the crap out of Hunter, until John and Dan pulled me back. I growled and snared, not even Emily’s voice could tame me.

“Randy stop!” John pleaded.

“She has done nothing to you!”

Hunter got up, giving it good to my face. John and Dan dropped me to the floor. My face ached from the blow. Hunter said nothing as he walked away. I rolled on the floor, looking up at the lights. Everyone told me he had no right to do what he did.

I could only imagine the hell for the next couple of weeks. I got up and went back to Emily; she laid on her side, falling in and out of sleep. She traced the bruise on my face. I smiled only,

“We’ll make them pay for that…” she murmured. I growled softly, thinking of the pain I will inflect on my creators.

“Randy Orton is in love?” Big Show questioned. The wrestlers were amazed how I felt for Emily.

“Yeah, I’m…I’m in love with her. I loved her from the very beginning…got a problem?” I said approaching Big Show. He started to laugh,

“Look at him! Hunter was right!”

“He is weak!” I wondered.

“Normally the Viper would’ve starred at you coldly, but you actually threatened me!” Big Show laughed hysterically. I stood taking it all in.

Emily came up, knocking him to the floor. Big Show coward in fear, she kneeled down slightly, “I love him too…laugh at me!” she growled. People stood in shock, not breathing. Emily slowly got up, half way her back hurt and she grunted, placing her hand on her back. I saw the way Dean starred at her, amazed and in trance. It is the same way I stare at Emily.

“Got anything to say, Dean?” I asked. Dean was about to say something, but he changed his mind. Emily and I left the arena, quietly. We were quiet to one another going to the motel. The tension grew between us; it was as if she wanted to say something to me.

“Why did you do it?” she finally said. It was like a magnet, her tension was pulling it out of me.

“Do you realize the seriousness of this?” I did not answer her.

“Randy, you owe me an explanation!”

I turned around, growling, “I saw the one I love get her back cracked by a phyico! I couldn’t take it!”

“Do you realize what they can do now?” Emily hissed at me.

“They’ll do everything to destroy you! Too destroy us!” She whimpered.

“Let them do it, as long as in the end we are together.”

I sat next to her, taking in everything about her, her smell, the softness of her skin. It’s been awhile since I was intimate with her, but now is not the time to do it.

I was angry. I was angry as hell with Hunter and Stef. If Emily was my so called, ‘sister’ then they have brutally attacked their daughter to hurt me, their son. They’ll do everything and anything, they’ll try to make Emily hate me. They’ll try to mess with her mind and offer her deals for the Divas belt. Our faith towards each other was now being tested as well.

I tried not to worry about it now. “I’ll talk to Stefanie about it…” Emily said.

“They won’t make our relationship a game on their show…”

“No, they won’t” I whispered. Emily rested her head on my shoulder. Nuzzling on me, she looked as if she was going to fall in a deep sleep. She needed her rest like the medics instructed. I slowly put her into bed next to me. She fell asleep instantly, as I caressed her entire body.

--

I tried brushing the incident off with Triple H and Stef just as a misunderstanding. My relationship with Randy could not be as big of threat, if Randy was that important to them then…why did they sign me on? It doesn’t make sense. I walked causally to Stef’s office; my heart throbbed as I tried to stay focused. Randy has not slept for two nights, worrying about me. I was to be alone tonight, confronting my bosses.

Randy did not like the idea; he did not want me near them alone. I took a deep breath before knocking.

“Come in…” I step in.

“Emily, please sit.” Stef said. Hunter stood behind her; disgusted.

“Do you ever sit?” I said to him. He growled deeply in his throat. It did not scare me.

I wanted an explanation from Stef of why I was attacked. She explained to me that they feel Randy is becoming weak around me, that he cares for me too much.

“What’s wrong with that?”

“Nothing, we are a family and that’s what family does…But honey, Randy has to be focused on one thing…if he had to choose between his life and yours he would choose his because he is the Viper.”

It angered me to hear this. I assured Stef, that all of gestures are just part of the team work and nothing else. I also reminded her that I owed Randy because he made me part of this family and family should not be mixed with business.

“Now excuse me…” I said giggling to myself.

“I have to go back to our family.”

Once I exited the room, Hunter leaned over, “She is very good at fooling you…”

“Oh, come off it…let’s give this the benefit of the doubt that it’s nothing but friendly gestures.” Stef said.

“You are weak like her.” Hunter said in Stef’s ear. Stef growled, getting up and leaving.

Randy waited for me outside the ring, “I thought you were home…” I said approaching him. Randy pulled me to the side, ready to kiss me.

“No, Randy…” I said stopping him,

“What?”

“We have to be careful now.” Randy did not understand, until I explained why.

“I don’t care…I don’t care anymore!” Randy hissed quietly.

“Randy…they could take away everything.” I said.

Randy sighed, thinking what he could do. “I guess we have to keep it a secret…watch our every move.” Randy whispered.

“Yeah…” was all I could mutter knowing it was breaking Randy’s heart.

“You know they’ll do everything to expose us…” he said.

I batted my eyes at him, tracing my fingers around his arms, “Well, let’s give them every benefit of the doubt.”

Randy kissed me, softly, his lips danced with mine. I could even block out the screaming fans. It sent chills down my spine as he took a deep inhale in between kisses. I hated to keep this a secret but it is the only way to have peace. The rest of the wrestlers who know are on our side. I know things will be ok.
