Chapter Fifty
I earned enough of Dean’s trust to ask him to sleep in his bed tonight. He smiled,
“Anything for you, my Viperess.” It burned me to hear that from his mouth. I tried my hardest to fake a smile.
Dean knew it bothered me, he put his head down, it was a reminder that I belonged to Randy.
We walked back to the hotel. “Thanks for letting me use the bed tonight.” I said. He smiled, almost fake,
“I wish you would stop that…”
“What?”
“Fake smiling…”
I walked inside leaving him standing outside the door. He walked in soon, taking me by the hand.
“Do you know how much this burns me?” His voice sending chills down my spine.
“You know I love you, you know I would bleed for you.”
I turned to him, “Who was that man in the bar that night?”
“I guess drunk.”
--
“Um, I’m going to bed” I said that night. The boys were sitting playing Xbox. My clothes were at Randy’s and I had to use Roman’s clothes. I texted Randy to bring clothes over.
“Good night” Roman and Seth said.
“Good night, Dean.” I said.
“Uh, good night.” Dean looked over his shoulder.
I licked my lips awkwardly, going into the room. “I’ll be in another hour…” Dean said firmly.
“Ok…”
Randy said he will come around midnight. I hope Dean would be fast asleep by then. I was anxious to see Randy. I missed his smell and his voice. I sat in bed wide awake, until I heard the door open. I quickly turned to my side and shut my eyes tight.
Someone sat on my bed, was it Randy? I felt their hand wrap around my waist.
“I’m sorry I’ve been so cold to you. I know you are sleeping, but please listen…” it was Dean. I kept my eyes shut.
He placed his hand on mine, my hand automatically started to sweat, I tensed up.
“I love you just as much as Randy does. I can imagine the man going nuts without you right now.”
“I know you feel the same way right now. I will do anything to see you happy and I know you are not happy with me, and to see you happy with Orton makes me in a way happy. It’s sick. And seeing you with me is making me unhappy. I wish I could let you go back to him, but it’s not time yet.” It was a different side of Dean.
“I love you, don’t worry you’ll be with him soon, and we’ll both be happily ever after again.” He whispered sending chills down my spine. It was soothing. He placed a kiss on my forehead and left the room. I opened my eyes taking in what just happened. I felt bad for Dean, he deserves somebody. His voice echoed in my mind, letting his voice send me to sleep.
I opened my eyes several hours later; Dean was asleep on the couch, his back facing me. Did I miss Randy? It was twelve thirty. The room was dark with only the moon to light it up. I got up looking out the window, where was he? Dean mumbled in his sleep. I looked over my shoulder and noticed he was fidgeting.
Casually and quietly I strolled over to him; stroke his hair back with my fingertips. “Shh, shh.” He softly smiled,
“Mmm”
He fell back to sleep. I covered him up, like my mom used to do. There was a sudden tap on the window. I turned quickly.
It was like looking at a stranger but you knew the stranger. I tip-toed over to the window and opened it. His smell overwhelmed my nose.
“Randy.” I whispered, grasping him in my arms. He quickly hugged me taking me in. I just needed that huge from him, my ear against his chest hearing his heartbeat. I pulled away slightly, looking into his dark blue eyes. He smiled warmly grasping me again.
“My Emily…” his gruff voice was a bonus to hear.
I sat outside the window with him. We mostly sat in each other’s arms. “How are we going to get through this?”
Randy looked at me, as if he had a plan developing.
“A trade…” Randy said.
“It’ll be something that they can’t refuse up, because this is my decision and I hope you respect it.”
“It’ll be a contract signing…” Randy said, stroking my hair.
“I get you back…” he trailed off. I looked up at him,
“What Randy what does Dean get?”
“Dean gets to be The World Heavyweight Champion…” He sighed.
“What? No!”
“Emily, this is my decision, I have no choice and I’m happy with it. You are worth it.”
I jumped up, “You love those titles…”
Randy got up, holding my shoulders, “No, I love you, honey. I wish you’d believe me.” He nuzzled his forehead against mine.
“You are my championship.” My stomach twirled and spun around by the sound of his voice.
“I do believe you. I just…can’t believe you would make that sacrifice” I whispered.
“Well, that’s because I love you…Unconditionally.”
Randy helped me back inside the room. He kneeled down,
“Good night baby” he said.
“Good night” I whispered afraid to wake Dean. Randy glared over at Dean.
“He hasn’t touched you right?”
I turned quickly, “No…” I said.
Randy leaned in, ready to kiss me, the stillness of the quite air made me feel sort of calm. Our lips were inches apart when I was jerked away. The still quietness diminished. Dean stood in between me and Randy, he growled at Randy.
“Dean, stop!” I said.
Randy glared at him like a Viper. “He was just giving me clean clothes, Dean…” I said.
“He was going to kiss you!” Dean growled.
“What, I can’t kiss my boyfriend?” I hissed. I got in between Dean and Randy.
Randy did not take his glare off Dean. “Randy, honey, go home…” I said patting his face.
Randy did not budge. “Randy, go home.” Randy looked down at me, his eyes softened.
“It’s ok…” I whispered, still stroking his rough beard.
He glared at Dean again, “There will be an offer that you won’t be able to refuse.” With that, Randy left. Dean closed the window right after.
