I wake up early in the morning asking myself why? I had decided to sleep in this morning still I look at my phone and it is 7 am.
I tie my jet black hair in a high ponytail, brush my teeth and go for breakfast. My mom has prepared the simplest breakfast which I see and groan.
"You know you should really try something different in food sometimes, Mom."
"Aw, sweety you want something good ?" I instantly know that a juicy taunt is coming my way.
"Get your ass in the kitchen and cook it yourself!"
"Mom!" I roll my eyes. "Language."
I leave my food untouched and go to take a bath. Wearing a royal blue lace crop top and pink shorts, I head out.
"Where are you going so early, my dear sunshine?" That's my mom . I sometimes feel she has a split personality disorder.
"I'm going to Molly's, I am sure Mrs. Walker has made something edible for breakfast."
Molly's house is exactly a four minute walk from my house, probably one of the reasons we are so close. We are best friends since we can remember and according to our parents we even learnt how to walk together. Anyways, I simply love her.
As I know the way to Molly's house so well, my eyes are focused down on the path and not in front of me. The sound of metal scraping makes my head turn in that direction.
That is when I first see him.
The first thing I notice about him is his dark brown hair. He has his back towards me. He is wearing a black t-shirt and khakis. There is something magnetic about him which I can't put my finger on.
He is sitting in front of a car's wheel fixing something. I don't know why I did what I did but I stop next to him. "Hey! Do you need help?"
"No, thanks." He replies bluntly. I scowl at that. It was not his 'No' that hurt me, what took me aback that he said it without even looking at me.
I am not that famous among boys but for Christ's sake if someone offers you their help, shouldn't you at least look who that generous person is, well I would.
Realizing perfectly that I wasn't required, I took off on the path on which I had intended to go prior to this encounter.
