This incident takes place on Saturday, when Aurora saw Madison coming out of Tristen's bedroom, simultaneous to all the things happening in the chapter" A Talk Over Coffee.", followed by the incidents in chapter " The Ballroom".
Place: High school boys locker room.
Tyler's POV
" Fine, I'll be there." Molly says and hangs up. I put my phone in my locker and get inside one of the shower chambers and turn the water on.
As the cold water travels over me, I feel it drowning all the heat, frustration, aggression and the typical practice stench from my body.
I've been working so hard to be titled as the captain of our school's football team and out of nowhere, I'm now tied up with that stupid Adrian Cole.
After three continuous hours of practice, I had requested Coach Trainor to give me a break assuring him that I'll be back before he announces the captain.
I was badly in need of a cold shower.
The thought of Molly being there with me when the captain is announced calms my nerves a little as she is the only one who would be able to comfort me if I don't get through as the captain.
After a short five minute shower, I turn it off and grab a towel from the hook. As I'm about to turn the knob, I hear someone entering the locker room followed by a giggle which makes me scowl.
What is a girl doing here? Whoever she is will be in deep pickle if Coach Trainor sees her. He is very strict about these rules.
" Oh come on. Why are you backing out? This is why you brought me here, right?" The girl says, the voice sounding familiar." No Madison, I didn't bring you here to make out with you. I need to tell you something."
Madison! Of course, that is Madison Dayton's voice. Probably brought another one of her boy toys in the locker room.
" Ugh, and what would that be?" She asks the guy." I need to apologize to you for what happened last night. I was really drunk." The guy says making me frown as he too spoke familiarly.
" Oh. My. God. Tristen frigging Wilmore is apologizing to me. You didn't look like one of the regretting ones to me." Madison replies.
Tristen!!
What the hell is going on?
" Trust me, you are not the only one who is shocked." Tristen says.
" So, I'm really sorry for what happened last night. I wasn't in my senses, I had a huge brawl with Aurora and-"
" Ha!" Madison laughs sarcastically." Of course, she is the reason why you're feeling guilty. It has got nothing to do with me. You are just another one of the strings of boys wrapped around her little finger." She retorts.
" Shut up! Another word about Aurora from that filthy mouth of yours, and I'll forget why I'm here, Dayton." He threatens her.
" Relax. I didn't mean it that way. Let me make it up to you." I hear Madison say.
The sound of a locker being slammed fills the surrounding.
" Hands off, Dayton." Tristen says." Don't make me regret bringing you here."
" Why are you being such a saint?" Madison asks with desperation.
" Because I love her and I already did something which I shouldn't have. I'm not repeating it." He says sternly.
" Fine, whatever."
I hear her heels clicking as she retreats and the door of the locker room being closed.
