today i asked mustafa why he said yes to me. i really did wonder.
he looked to the ground, like he always does when he's shy about something. then offered me his best condoling smile.
'i saw the look on your face when those men were after you. you needed someone,amna. and i knew your father wasn't going to be your helping hand. people are ruthless and two-faced. you don't deserve that. i thought, you had enough crap happen to you in a couple months. maybe it was time you had someone on your side.'
i don't blame him but he actually thought he could save me.
what a dream he was seeing.
