I started walking over slowly fighting every urge to go back and never to be found again. I stopped halfway rethinking my choice about talking to my king. I stopped and looked at the ground to feel Shadow nuzzling into my back. He came beside me and shrunk down to the size of a dog.

He left the way he came and my eyes trailed after him. I was brought back to reality when I heard the soft crunch of leaves. I looked up to see the two dwarf prince's Fili and Kili. They hugged me and I hesitated before hugging them back.

"It's good to see you again" Fili started and Kili continued with "we were told you had died." I shook my head at the two " I was never dead" I said before looking down. "What exactly happened?" They asked at the same time.

I shook my head "I cannot tell you that yet, after I spoken with our king I may be able to tell you." I looked down with my nerves flowing back to me. The two clearly picked up on my uneasy thoughts as they put a hand on my shoulder saying "he hasn't changed much."

There was the sound of footsteps approaching and I looked down. "I'd like to speak to (y/n) for a moment" a deep voice said from behind the brothers. They nodded and left after reassuring me it was going to okay.

"You've been gone for a decade." He said softly, I couldn't bring myself to look him in the eyes. I nodded "indeed I have" I said in the most calm and steady voice that I could master at this moment of time.

"What happened?" He asked slightly sterner then his previous soft tone. "I got cursed and I ran. My parent's instantly despised me and I couldn't take it." I wanted to hug him so much but I was still afraid of him turning on me.

Thorin clearly got pissed and rose his voice " WHY DIDN'T YOU COME BACK TO FIND ME?" This had caught the attention of everyone in the company and they were all watching. "WHY!? HOW ABOUT THE FACT THAT I WOULD'VE BEEN KILLED BEFORE I EVEN GOT TO YOU"

"You know that's true, Thorin. If she somehow did make it to you, you would've probably kill her." Fili's s soft voice called out before Thorin ha the chance to get even more angry. I mouthed a small Thank you before turning my back to the king.

"I'm going to scout the surrounding area." I said looking down soon shadow appeared at his original size and I climbed on. We took of running instantly with my hair flowing behind me.

I had so many emotions running through me. When we got far enough I got off Shadow and sat down with my back against the tree. Shadow lay beside me with his head on my lap. I scratched the back on his ears.

I let a tear slide down my face as I thought about the memories I have with Thorin from the day we met as kids to teens training together to adults fighting side by side.

(Thorin POV)

She left and I felt conflicted about what to do. I knew deep down I still had feelings for her but I don't think I could tell her yet. Well, not for a while because making her angry was not a great start from the day I finally get her back.

We were currently in the troll cave and I was watching various dwarves digging holes and burying some of the gold and other looted items. By the time we left the den I had a new elvish blade and our Master burglar now had a sword. He useful he'd be with it is a different matter.

Soon enough I began to rush everyone out so we could get moving. We heard rustling from the bushes and rabbits burst out dragging a sledge with some fairly crooked man on the back of it.

He began to talk to Gandalf and I zoned out and thought about (y/n). She was wearing her black tunic but it was torn and run down in places. Her hair was down but messy, then again being an Orc is enough to make someone look bad. Her body was still as curvy as it was but she had bags under her eyes, obviously lacking in sleep.

The was a near howl as a ragged black Warg jamp out straight for us but was thrown to the ground as I saw the girls body tackle it to the ground. She quickly got up and stood between us and it.

It slowly padded over to her and sniffed her softly. After a few moments she was clapping it and speaking quietly to it. It sat down and looked at her sadly deciding what to do as it was probably ordered to kill us. Well more specific me.

It then prepared to attack, not the dwarf maiden in front of it but us. As it went to pounce on me the obedient black Warg jamp in from the bushes and began to battle this warg scout.

When Shadow got on top of the other Warg he went straight for its throat quickly causing if to fall lifeless. "Here boy" was heard in a soft voice as he got off and quickly lay at his masters feet.

We all quickly agreed to get moving. I watched as the (h/c) woman got on the Warg and rode alongside us running. It was unfortunate that our horses had escaped, because running was quite tiring.

The crooked wizard was being a distraction and getting the Warg's to chase him so we have a chance to run. We all hid behind some large rock while other Warg's and orcs ran past.

When the coast was clear we ran to another rock. We stopped to catch a breath behind it. Until we heard the sound of claws scraping the stone. The girl picked up a stone and threw it hard at the Warg's legs.

I hadn't noticed she wasn't on the black beast anymore. The warg wasn't anywhere in sight. I heard the Orc scream above us I took a glance and saw it had fallen off.

The warg came down beside the girl. It went to attack but was put down as the other one came and smashed the other against the rock. I watched (y/n) as she took her sword and put it through the opposing skull crusher.

The others became notified and started heading for us. "Where's Gandalf?" Someone asked. "He left us" a voice hissed beside me and everyone looked shocked as it's the first words she actually said and there was a cruel darkness clear in her tone.

"Over here you fools" a voice called out and I saw Gandalf standing beside another set of rocks. "Hurry up and go" the voice hissed again but with powerful authority. I looked to see she was back on the Beasts back holding her head up high with pride and honour.
