"Bang!" Was all I heard as I entered the indoor stables. Legacy's stall was on my right. He whinnied loudly. I was not as afraid of him as I was when I first met him. In fact is was used to his behaviour. Mr. Tapa walked through the stables. Making sure everyone was doing their duties for their Kaimanawa horse. He looked in the stalls making sure not a speck of horse manure was insight. He looked outside of their stall and looked in their trucks making sure all the brushes and hoof-picks and leads were neatly put away. He made sure the horses were happy and have each pone a soft pat.
I stood still at the other end of the stable. I felt like yelling at Mr. Tapa for choosing a ridiculous option for Legacy to go. I knew I shouldn't yell but my instincts were telling me I should.
Mr. Tapa saw me and walked over. "How's your arm?" He asks. "It's alright, Why are you thinking about taking Legacy to the meat works, why do you have to be so rude!" I say angrily.
"It is what needs to happen! Don't argue with me Isabella! I'm busy! That horse is dangerous, he's injured you and another work mate of mine! I'm not going to let this horse live for another day. He's going today!" He replies as he walks past me. I turned at him and watch his walk past. "Your such a rude man!" I whisper.
Legacy tilts his head over his stable door. I look at him sadly. A tear trickling from my eye.
