It was a fine Saturday morning. It had been a little over a month since the incident. The police had nothing on who did it to Chaeyoung or why. Chaeyoung's cast around his arm was being removed. The first thing he did after that was write letters for Jeongyeon, Sana and Momo.
'Read this only when you reach home,' Chaeyoung gave the hand written letter to Sana in the parking lot after work. She took it with a puzzled look and put it in her bag.
He also gave letters to Jeongyeon and Momo separately and secretly and told them to read when they were alone.
Momo opened the letter in the kitchen.
"Dear Momo noona," it started. The word noona was written in ink of another color. He had initially written only "Dear Momo" and "noona" was added later by another pen. Momo laughed at that, because Chaeyoung called her noona only in front of Jeongyeon. Otherwise she was only Momo for him. She continued to read the letter."I wanted to thank you. Most of the time I may come out as a contemptible and unemotional person but I'm a human as well, I have sentiments too. However I cannot do the sentimental talks because it's too embarrassing for me. That's why I am writing this for you because I think this is easier than talking. So, even though this may look funny, don't laugh at my doings. I know I have been nothing but trouble. But you have always supported me when I needed it. You took care of me when I was injured as if I was your real sibling. I was really touched.
I have wandered a lot in life, but you and Jeongyeon hyung make me think that this is what real family is like (I never really had one, except my mother).
Thank you for taking care of me.From a thankful heart,
Son Chaeyoung.P.S. Don't ever talk about this to anyone. Destroy evidence that I ever wrote this letter. It's too cringy."
Momo laughed at the post script. Chaeyoung entered the kitchen. He cleared his throat and poured himself a drink of water.
'I told you not to laugh,' he said.
'Sorry, it's just too cute. I know you act like someone who has no sentiments but you're not contemptible. You know what do I like best about you?' Momo said.
'What?'
'You don't hesitate to jump in and help someone. I think that is your biggest plus point that makes you lovable.'
'Stop it!' Chaeyoung yelped cringing.
'MOMO-YA, LOOK... HAHAHAHA CHAEYOUNG WROTE ME A SWEET LETTER,' Jeongyeon announced from the living room. Chaeyoung slapped his forehead.
'He wrote one for me too,' Momo said going out to the living room. Chaeyoung had written similar letters. They exchanged the letters and read them and laughed.
'Aigoo, our Chaeyoung is indeed a rough diamond,' Momo said laughing.
'I told you to destroy them after reading!' Chaeyoung whined.
After a while, Jeongyeon and Chaeyoung sat on the couch arguing.
'England is going to win for sure,' Jeongyeon said.
'No way! That's why I'm rooting for Belgium,' Chaeyoung said.
'Let's bet.'
'Good idea. What should we do? Whoever loses must get his legs waxed?'
'Deal. Momo recently bought a lot of waxing strips,' Jeongyeon said.
'What should we eat for dinner?' Momo said coming out of her room.
'Don't bother. Sana said she's buying dinner,' Chaeyoung said.
'She is coming here?' Jeongyeon asked.
