Flashback, Makito's visit at the hospital.

Mina had just left Jeongyeon's room to look for Chaeyoung. Just then Makito came in with Yuto. Jeongyeon was dumbfounded to see him there. He bowed his head to Makito to show respect. Nonetheless, he was still Momo's father, even though it was him who hurt him. The older man was just cold as ice.

'I come with news for you. I'm taking Momo to Japan,' Makito said. 'And I have come to warn you. If you ever come to Japan or try to lure my daughter out to elope with you again, I will kill you.'

'Please leave her with me. She is my world. I will make sure to keep her happy. I beg you,' Jeongyeon said, heartbroken to know that Momo would be taken away and kept far from him.

'Happy?' Makito scoffed, 'Life isn't a fairy tale. Love cannot feed you. Do you think I don't know who are? I came after knowing what you do and what you have. My Momo is like princess, heiress of Hirai industries. And you? A nobody. Did you think I would allow you to marry her? You are not befitting an association of the Hirai family.'

Jeongyeon could not argue regarding anything about their social status. It was true that there was a huge gap between them that seemed insurmountable.

'Now, if you get the message: not to try to talk Momo and never to find her, I will go. Let's go Yuto-san, we have a plane to board in 2 hours,' Makito said. (That's how Jeongyeon would know where to send Chaeyoung to give his message to Momo.)

'I love her. I won't give up on her,' Jeongyeon said, his face tensed and eyes red.

Makito's expression stiffened as well. 'You can't give up on her because she's rich, she's a golden goose, right? If it's money you want, I brought something for you,' he said and signal Yuto. The latter lifted up a suitcase on Jeongyeon's bed and opened it, revealing a huge sum inside it.

'Keep it and stay away from my daughter.'

'Please take your money. Momo has no price. Your money won't stop me. Kill me if you have to stop me.'

'You love Momo that much? Is money that unimportant to you?' Makito glared at Jeongyeon. The latter stared back unfazed. 'I will leave this money here. Bring it back to me triple the amount, then you can think of marrying my daughter,' Makito said.

'Deal,' Jeongyeon said without thinking. Makito had hurt his pride. He agreed to Makito's challenge in mad passion without thinking of its consequence.

'Best of luck,' Makito smirked and left.
Jeongyeon had a new challenge to face.

----------------

A surprise was waiting for Momo in Japan. Her mother. Makito had called back Eri just for Momo. He thought that her presence could avoid the danger of Momo running away from home again. The mother and daughter had a heartwarming reunion with the chorus of their wailings. Makito had alloted a house for his ex-wife Eri and she was allowed to meet Momo whenever she wanted.

Fumie and her children, Arai and Akari were very displeased with the return of Momo and Eri, but there was nothing they could do about it. Makito was the man of the house and what he wanted was what happened in the Hirai household.

Jeongyeon's message had given Momo new hope and new strength. She had faith in him and believed that he would surely come to Japan for her some day and she was ready to wait for him till that day come.

----------------

The day following Momo's departure, Jeongyeon and Chaeyoung returned back to work. Life was unusual for Jeongyeon without Momo. He was so used to her presence. Life without her felt new and empty. It was weird even for Chaeyoung. She was with them a few days ago and now she was in another country.
