31. A crazy night (JYP's wedding day continuation)

'Who are you? And what were you trying to do?' Chaeyoung asked, not letting go of the man's wrist. Mina was scared and hid behind Chaeyoung.

'Mina do you know him?' Chaeyoung said.

'I have never seen him before,' Mina said.

'I'm so sorry. There has been a mistake,' the man said.

'What mistake?'

'I thought she was my date. I'm so sorry. I forgot my glasses at home. I mistook her for someone else,' the man said.

'Is that so?' Chaeyoung dropped the man's wrist. The man hurriedly went away.

'Are you alright?' he asked Mina.

'Yeah. I started to panic for a moment but you came out of nowhere. You were very cool just now.'

'Really?' he chuckled, happy from the compliment. 'Let's go in,' he ushered her back to their table.

'She complimented me a lot today,' he thought. He was on cloud nine. Mina's eyes were fixed on the stage, she was swaying her head to the music. While Chaeyoung's eyes were fixed on Mina, studying ways to kiss her.

'And now for the final surprise, JYP will sing a song for his newly wedded wife!' the host said. Mina grimaced at the announcement as she knew that JYP's singing sounded like wailings when someone steps on your littlest toe. Chaeyoung unknowingly let out an adoring laugh seeing Mina's expression. The latter heard him and looked at him. He instantly turned away looking around him and clapped his hands because everyone else was clapping as well, even though he had no clue why they were clapping.

Suddenly his eyes caught a glimpse of Eunhee. She was leaving with her date. And her date was the same man who grabbed Mina's arm earlier.

'That man is with Eunhee?' Chaeyoung thought. 'Wow, he must be almost blind to mistake Mina for Eunhee. Mina is wearing black, Eunhee is wearing green. His eyes must be really bad.'

The whole wedding programme wound up after JYP's soulful song that makes you want to beg for mercy. Since it was his big day, he received thunderous applause from his guests. After it was over, Chaeyoung drove Mina home. There he would pick up his motorcycle and drive home.

'May I use the bathroom?' Chaeyoung said.

'Come inside,' Mina said.

She showed him the way. He left his coat in her living room. Coming out of the bathroom, he was picking up the same when her heard a yelp and a crash from Mina's bedroom.

'Mina, is everything okay?' he rushed towards the sound, alarmed. Mina was picking up her jewelry box from the floor.

'Oh, I'm fine. I was placing the earrings in the box and a spider jumped out of it and landed on my hand. I was startled,' she kept the box on her vanity table. She pointed to her hand and said, 'It jumped on here.'

'Did you get bitten?' Chaeyoung took her hand and examined.

'No. Where did it go?' her eyes looked around for the spider. Chaeyoung rubbed her hand with his thumb and Mina unmindfully let him.

'Can my day get any crazier? First Taekyung oppa, then a man, now a spider,' Mina chuckled, still not pulling her hand out of Chaeyoung's.

'Yes it can get crazier,' Chaeyoung answered in his mind. He had been admiring her beauty all day and now he was holding her hand. He was totally smitten. He wanted to do more than just hold her hand.

'Mina..' he called her softly.

'Hmm..' she turned her head to him and when she did, he captured her lips with his. He caught her completely off guard and she froze in surprise. What drove him mad was when, after some seconds of stillness, Mina moved her lips and started to respond, she kissed him back.
