Chapter 9: Makeup

|Jack's POV|

The bell rang and everyone exited their class. I walked to the bus with Hiccup wanting to get out of this hell hole. We made our way to the bus and grabbed a seat. I took one by my self and Hiccup sat in front of me.

"Okay so now tell me the whole thing-"

"Hey Hiccup!" We looked up to the front of the bus and saw Lilly with Sue and Alice.

"Oh hey gorgeous." Hiccup said patting the seat next to him. Lilly sat next to Hiccup and gave him a kiss on the cheek. Sue and Alice sat in front of Hiccup and Lilly chatting about something.

"Okay. Now can you tell me?" Hiccup said turning back to me.

"There's nothing to tell." I said leaning my head back and closing my eyes.

"What are you talking about?" Sue asked.

"About the fight with Bell and Melody." Hiccup said answering Sue.

"Wait what?! Bell got into a fight?! Why am I only hearing about this now?" Lilly complained. "When did this happen?"

I opened my eyes and we all looked at each other. "This morning." Alice said raising an eyebrow.

"Wha- and I'm only finding out now!" Lilly huffed.

"Oh hey Lilly this is something you might know. Did you hear about the thing with Jim and Bell?" Sue said resting her chin on the bar facing Hiccup, Lilly and I. I looked at Sue and listened.

"No. But I did hear Jim say something about Bell..."

"What did he say?" I asked feeling my heart race.

"I don't know and since when do you sit over here? Don't you sit at the back with the 'cool' kids?" Lilly asked me giving me a sassy smirk.

I smirk back at her and and raised my eyebrows. "Yeah so... Besides, I'm over here because I know how much you want me." I joked to piss her off.

She gasped and shoved me away.

|Bell's POV|

"Hello?" I asked being half asleep and annoyed from being woken up. I heard some giggling and laughter and then heard a voice come to the phone.

"Hey Bell, It's me--" Lilly. I recognised her voice. "--So since you were in a fight and had to go home, which I only found out TODAY, were picking you up from your house."

I sat up, phone still my hand and remembered. Mall. Shopping. Guy watching. Fuck. "Arh yeah kay.." I sat getting up tripping over my movies and clothes. "How far away are you?"

"Who ya talkin too?" I heard someone say over the phone.

"Fuck off Jack!" I heard Lilly giggle. 'Wait, Jack?!' I thought falling over making my way to my mirror. "Hey yeah, just coming up to our stop and gonna walk up to yours." Lilly said giggling.

"Wait Lilly Jacks there--" I said getting up from the floor.

"Okay got to go now Bell. Our stop is here. Bye." Before I could ask about Jack she hung up.

"Damn you Lilly!" I cursed slamming my cracked phone onto my dresser. I opened my dresser and got some light blue, ripped jeans, a blue tank top and a grey, soft sweater since I changed into my onesie when I got home. I changed in my bathroom and looked in the mirror. I saw I had bed head from sleeping and light bags under my eyes. I studied myself for a minute or two then decided to fix myself up. "Fuck it." I said to myself.

I opened my bathroom cupboards under the sink and looked for my brush and cover up cream to cover my bags. I scanned the cupboards and couldn't find anything. I slammed the cupboard doors shut and walked out of my room to my mums bathroom in her room. I opened her cupboard doors under her sink and found MY brush and some cover up and a makeup filled to the top in a black leather bag. I looked at the makeup bag the mumbled 'why not' to myself and grabbed the bag. I walked or jogged back to my room and to my bathroom and started to get ready. I brushed my hair for the first time instead of running my fingers through it, Covered up my bags, Grabbed the mascara and put little amounts of it on my dark eyelashes that seemed to make them longer and put a tiny bit of blush on. Some people may say it wasn't classified as having 'makeup on' but for my first time, I was pretty pleased.

I went to the toilet and 'changed' and washed my hands then went back into my room. I grabbed my phone and my wallet and put $100 in from my mum. I went down stairs and put my wallet in my pocket and put my black laced boots on that were un-tied. I sat on the kitchen counter and waited. I swung my legs back and forth and sighed. Jack Overland Frost. He was all I could think about. Everything just... happened today, like in those corny movies or stories you read. I brushed some my hair back with my fingers and felt a vibrate in my hand. I looked at my cracked phone screen and saw a message from Lilly.

Lilly: Be there in less than a minute pretty brown eyes xox

I smile at the comment 'pretty brown eyes' since that was her favourite song or one of them.

Me: Kay kool xox

I texted back and put my phone back in my pocket. I got off the counter and re-filled Ghost's food bowl and water bowl. I kept thinking about Jack then heard a knock at the door. I opened the door and saw Lilly, Sue and Alice smiling at me but Alice had a sad/happy look.

"Well don't you look gorgeous. Ready?" Lilly said holding her gloved hand out. I let out a big sigh and took her hand.

"Meh." Was all that came out.

"Oh that 'meh' sound so exciting!" Sue said giggling putting her beanie on her head. I just smiled and started walking.

"So are we walking there?" I asked raising and eye brow at them letting the snow fall on my hair.

"No. Where going to mine to get my car THEN were going there." Lilly said putting her purse in her pocket. "And I want to get my handbag and drop my backpack off. You guys can too." Lilly said aiming her last comment to Sue and Alice. I looked at Alice and walked next to her behind Sue and Lilly.

I cleared my throat and spoke. "Hey um.. sorry about-"

"No! No.. um don't be sorry about anything." Alice said giving me a warm smile. "It's cool and it was pretty awesome... what you did."

I smiled at her. "Haha yeah well she was a bitch and is a bitch and was messing with me and YOU and I couldn't let that happen. You know what they say, Bro's before hoe's." I said pulling Alice into a hug. She laughed and hugged back.

We reached Lilly house and Sue and Alice put there bags in the house and waited in the car. I sat in the passenger seat and Sue and Alice sat in the back. We waited for Lilly and saw her from her bedroom window upstairs putting makeup on again.

"Don't over do it." I heard Sue say. I looked back and saw Alice and Sue watching Lilly as well. I chuckled and turned back and watched Lilly as she put more foundation on and eye liner. "Over did it." I hear Sue say and slump back into her seat. Lilly finally finished doing her makeup and came out of the house to the car. She hopped in and did her seat belt and put the keys in.

"Okay, ready?" She called out in the car.

"I was ready last time you did your makeup." I hear Sue mumble and I smiled holding back my laughs.
