Perrie shifted around bed, blinking slowly as her eyes opened. The spot next to her was empty and it was a silent. She crawled out the bunk, a headache pounding inside her skull. Glancing around, she spotted Zayn lying down on the couch, his thumbs swiping away at the screen.
"Where is everyone?" Perrie asked in a small voice, rubbing her eyes.
Zayn glanced at her and sat up, taking his headphones out. "They all left hours ago. Your friend left with them, too. I'm surprised you even woke up."
"What time is it?"
"5 in the afternoon."
"What?" Perrie gasped, her eyes wide in shock. "Oh my, I'm so sorry! I bet you think I'm a bum now. I'm sorry."
"Calm down, Perrie," Zayn said. "It's alright. I stayed while they all went out, it's not your fault. You were beyond drunk, we've all been there."
"I've never been," Perrie bit her lip, frustrated. "I've never done anything like this, Zayn! I can't remember anything from last night, I missed the last day to go out with everyone, I made you stay, and why won't me head stop hurting? What is this? Is something wrong with me?"
"Perrie," Zayn interrupted her ramble. "Calm down! It's not completely odd, you're okay! It happens, and it happened to you. Don't freak out. The headache will go away, just relax."
"You still stayed because of me," She frowned.
"Don't get so ahead of yourself," He teased. "I'm not fond of the restaurant they're going to anyway. You're fine."
Perrie didn't seem fully convinced, but still cracked a smile. "Alright."
"Okay," Zayn nodded slowly, awkwardly giving her a thumbs up. "Do you want anything to drink or eat?"
Perrie shook her head. "No, but I want to go out."
"I thought your head hurt."
"It's getting late. I want to scope France out fast before we leave."
"I'm tired."
"Please."
Zayn groaned, putting his phone down. "Where do you want to go?"
Perrie squealed and ran off to change, forgetting all about the thumping pain in her head.
Zayn waited around, texting Gemma ahead of time before she went crazy when she found the bus empty.
"Let's go!" Perrie urged, flying past him and next to the door. She reminded him of an excited puppy, sometimes.
Zayn walked behind her, Perrie yanking him with her once deciding his slow pace just wasn't going to cut it. They ran out together, some fans catching sight of him and screaming. Perrie paused upon hearing Zaun's name being called, looking at the girls who were slowly approaching.
"Perrie, we need to quietly walk passed them, alright?" Zayn whispered.
"No," Perrie stood, not moving. "They want to see you, it's mean and rude to ignore them."
"Perrie--"
"Zayn," She mocked.
"You're so annoying!" He exasperated. Nonetheless, he walked toward the small group of girls, plastering a smile on his face. "Hi."
The girls shrieked, one of them throwing a hand over their mouth. "Hi, Zayn! Oh my god," She managed out.
"How are you?" Another asked.
"I'm good, thanks," Zayn smiled. "Do you wanna take a picture?"
"Please," She nodded. "Can someone take it?"
