This will be dedicated to my friend Brianna. She read the start of the story and loved it! She asked for more so I give her this chapter. She may not like me very much once she reads the end of this chapter though! :D Happy reading!

Chapter 3: Good boy or Bad boy?

The minute I told Casey she squealed like the major girly girl I knew she would become.

“I cannot believe he asked you out!” She went into her average hysteric Casey mode.

“Neither!” Ok I was acting really girly to.

  “So what will you wear?”

“I have no idea.” I shrugged “Skinny jeans and my special lace black top?”

“With your black boots and leather jacket and it will be perfect!”

I could always trust a werewolf with a good sense of style.

After god knows how long Casey had finally finished my make-up. It was all light, although I had heavy eyeliner, I always did love my eyeliner.

I was driving in my four wheel drive to the beach cafe and Casey was following a little way behind because she ‘wanted to check out what they had on the menu’. I know werewolves like their food but you can so tell she wants to spy on me and Seth.

I still had no idea why Seth wanted to meet me here, on his first day. Then I realised he could be a player and I almost put my foot on the brake. I kept calm and continued toward the cafe. Sure he could be a player but I knew how to knee a guy in the place it hurts most and ignore it- only just though, no thanks to my angelic side.

I pulled into the parking lot and casually got out of the car and walked inside. I knew a few people who worked here. There was Amy. She was a vampire, but she rarely drank from a human vein, she went to the hospital and had some of their supply. It was a little gross but she was kind and refused to drink in front of others. Yes she was a walking corpse but she still looked pretty good. She never tried those outrageous outfits some vampires squeezed themselves into; she just wore nice clothes and left her hair down, obscuring her face a little.

“Hey Ash how are you today?” She asks with a kind smile.

“Pretty good. What about you?” I reply seating myself at one of the stools near the counter.

“Yeah alright. What brings you here? Doesn’t look like Casey is with you.”

“Yeah well.” I trailed off a little and she sent me a hard look crossed with a scowl. “A guy asked me to meet him here,” I finished looking slightly ashamed.

She grinned wickedly. “On a date are we?”

“Ahhh....” She laughed a laugh that sounded like bells chiming, nothing like the normal vamps you came across.

She then stopped staring at the door with her mouth wide open in an o shape. I turned to look at what she was staring at and my mouth nearly hit the counter!

Seth was there looking mighty fine in board shorts and a casual t-shirt. He was wearing jandals and had wet hair. He looked as if he just came from the beach, and probably just had. He smiled at me then walked over and sat next to me.

Amy and I were both staring at him.

“Can we get two glasses of water please?” Seth asked Amy, but he had to snap his fingers in front of her face a few times before she did anything. He then turned to me and I snapped my mouth shut with an audible snap sound. “So you want to get a quick drink then head down to the water? It’s nice today.”

“Uh, yeah sure” My voice came out quiet and breathless.

He smiles at me and I do everything I can to stop myself from dropping my mouth open again.

I used my hair as a shield as I kept on staring at him. He was so beautiful. He looked so angelic, even more than me and I was half angel!

Amy came back with the drinks and set them down in front of us staring at Seth the entire time.

My drink was slightly warm. I don’t understand. The water here is always cold.  I don’t mind I just cool it down with my element powers. Seth however is another story. It’s as if he was the one causing the heat in the water. His glass had condensation on it, his hand was holding it and the condensation was getting worse. It was as if his hand was hot and the glass was cold, or was it the other way round?

He must be either half fire element or half water element I thought. Well Casey and I were wrong. I almost spill my drink as I tried to hide my laugh at the thought, but then again we were always wrong about something.

He looked at me with an odd expression on his face. It looked as if he was concerned but was fighting with himself.

“Is your drink warm?” he asked a little nervously and excitedly. I knew exactly what he was doing; he was trying to figure out what I was.

Not today Seth. “Yes a little. Yours?”

He didn’t look very happy. “A little also. Would you like to go for a walk?”

I nodded and as we left Amy winked at me and mouthed have fun. I just rolled my eyes at her.

As we excited the cafe I immediately felt Casey’s presence. That’s the thing with angels, once you have someone become close to you; you immediately seek them out to see if they are ok. The annoying thing about being an angel is that you can’t stop it and if you do, hello anxiety attack.

Casey was hanging around the corner and I know she can smell us- werewolf perk. Seth led the way as we took off our shoes and slowly strolled along the beach.

“So uhhh. Paranormal huh?” He asks a little nervously.

I stop mid stride. Nobody has come out like that straight away. I keep walking acting like it’s not a big deal. “Yeah. You?”

  “Yeah.”

We continue to walk in silence, side by side. He then abruptly stops and grabs me by the shoulders then spins me to face him head on.

“What the hell are you? I cannot read you. I must know what you are! I must it is driving me insane!” He growls at me. In seconds he goes from awkward good boy to possessive bad boy. He is definitely a fire element and no way am I telling him what I am.

I stay silent as I stare straight at his gorgeous deep blue eyes.

“Tell me!” He hisses as well as shakes me.

Again I stay silent but I can feel Casey becoming scared. Odd for her and it’s not about me. Seth’s ‘friends’ also followed him and are cornering a poor werewolf, Casey. She can handle herself, but if she becomes too  frightened my angelicness will be forced to help her.

Seth’s eyes are starting to bore into mine but I still don’t budge.

“Tell me please” he whisper begs.

I almost give in, almost. I will not tell him, but I may just show him if he doesn’t let go or make his friends back off. Casey has become more distressed and I’m fighting the urge to run to her now.

“Please” he pleads as he lays his forehead on mine.

Last straw! Casey has been backed into a wall by his ‘friends’ and he has gone too far with this demanding thing! I do the only thing I can. Hurt him where it hurts most. I knee him right where it will hurt the most for a guy and I freeze his veins a little to make him go slower. Then I race off to help Casey.

The two of them are holding her against a wall and are threatening her. I freeze vamps veins and just as fairy turns around I punch him with my frozen fist.

“Run!” I scream at Casey just as two firm hands grab me from behind.
