"So, the red circle huh?" Dallas muttered to herself as she clicked through the video that had already been shared hundreds of times.
The black hood wasn't something new to Dallas, but he hadn't targeted any south siders and Sweets had reassured her she was safe. But now with Archie's latest antagonist post, she was sure it would lead to something bad. Not just for the north side, but all of Riverdale.
She closed her laptop and shoved it aside. After her most recent fight with Sweet Pea, she had taken up residency at Cas's house.
"Dal? You here?" Cas called down the hallway. Coming back from one of her shifts at Pop's. A relatively new position.
"Yeah I am?" She called back awaiting the arrival of her best friend. Soon Cassidy's body was in view, eyebrow raised and hip cocked.
"You know I love having you here, but aren't you ready to make up with ya boy?"
Dallas rolled her eyes and slid off the bed. "He's too stubborn to reason with," she concluded.
"And you're not?" Cassidy laughed.
"Point is, I'm not going to apologize for meeting my brother. Case closed." She slipped on her jacket and grabbed her bag and keys.
"Where are you going?" Cassidy asked watching Dallas slip past her.
"I need cigarettes!" She called, already out the front door. She hopped in the Mustang and sped off. But as if her body went in autopilot she headed the opposite direction from town. And before she knew she was parked right next to Sweet Pea's bike.
She sat in her car contemplating her next move. Surely he noticed her car was out front and wanted nothing to do with her. The thought alone drove her to angrily slam the door shut and stomp her way to the front door. Her tiny fist banged on the screen with a fury that consumed the entirety of her body.
The door flung open with the same fury and there stood Sweet Pea, in all his dark and handsome rage. "What?" He asked with narrowed eyes.
"I want to talk to you," she said, the weight of guilt crushing her.
Sweet Pea knew the moment her car pulled up, that he would forgive her. But he definitely wouldn't mind listening to her apology, because he deserved one.
He didn't say anything, he only allowed her to enter and she did. Hesitantly. As if she hadn't been living there. As she walked in, she did notice the lack of a girl presence. Which she was grateful for.
"So...what do you want to talk about?" He asked, leaning firmly against the wall. His arms hugged his body, as hers trembled.
"I'm sorry. I shouldn't have lied to you. And I definitely shouldn't have snapped at you. I know you were only trying to protect me. And I'm completely aware that I'm extremely stubborn. We both are. And I guess that's what makes us alike and what I'm trying to say is...."
Sweet Pea allowed her to ramble, a hint of a smirk graced over his mouth, not mockingly but enjoyably.
"I love you."
There. The words were out. Dallas had confessed her feelings and was left standing very vulnerable in front of her boyfriend. His cool exterior faded quickly as he came to terms with what she was saying.
"You love me..." Sweet Pea trailed off.
It hadn't occurred to either one of them that they had never said those words out loud. Maybe it was because it was mutually agreed between the pair that they already did love each other, despite never saying the words. Sweets had thought the words in his head so many times but hearing them aloud caused a warm feeling to surge through his body.
