"Who's W.M Wiley?"
Cindy froze for only a second before continuing to fold a stack of blankets. She shrugged, not daring to meet Dallas' inquisitive gaze.
"I don't know, why?" she asked, still keeping her head down.
Dallas felt in her gut that her mother was lying. It was a primal instinct she had, her mother of course had been lying to her since day one.
"Because I found a stack of reciepts from him and T. J. Wiley. I just figured with the name Wiley you'd know who they were."
Cindy shuddered and cracked her neck turning to face her daughter. Her face grew dark as she stepped toward Dallas. "Listen to me Dallas. I never want to hear their names again in this house do you understand?"
Dallas took three steps back, never seeing her mother like this in her life. She nodded rapidly, letting Cindy disappear upstairs. A nervousness set up in Dallas' stomach. Something was definitely up.
She snuck up the staircase that was in the kitchen, able to avoid her mother in all her fury. Dallas slunk into her room, grabbing her bag, ready to keep herself away from Cindy until she could calm herself down. She snuck right back down the stairs and began her walk to the Southside. She didn't dare risk what was left of her mom's kindness, so she left the car.
It didn't take too long to reach the Southside, or at least what was left of it. She was greeted by Brooks who was getting out of his mom's suburban.
"What? No corvette today?" Dallas laughed she got closer.
Brooks rolled his eyes and locked the car behind him. "No, dad decided that I needed to learn humility."
"You here for Fallon?" Dallas asked, changing to subject.
"Yeah, I'm taking her to get a dress for Veronica's speakeasy opening," he mentioned casually.
Dallas had forgotten, in all the chaos of the summer and her self medication, that the gran opening was just around the corner. She of course didn't have a dress, she wasn't even really sure where her and Sweet Pea stood. They had made up sure, but there was no indication as to if they were truly back together.
"Have fun trying to get that girl into a dress," Dallas snickered, leaving him to go and find Sweets.
She found him, Fangs and Cas over in the field of tents, what used to be Sunnyside Trailer Park.
"Dal!' Fangs smiled widely, welcoming her over.
She retired the warm gesture and stood between him and Cas, not knowing what to do about Sweets.
'What's up kid?" Sweet Pea asked her, his mind swirling with every possible reason as to why she wasn't attached to him.
"I need some sleuthing done," Dallas said.
The three others got a suspicious glint in their eyes as they waited for Dallas to continue. A sir crept onto her face as she dug into the bag slung across her torso. She pulled out the bills and letters with the Wiley name scribbled al over them.
"Found these in a locked drawer in my house. I confronted my mom and she went berserk me. So now of course, we have to find out who these two people are," Dallas explained, passing the envelopes around.
"Oh darling, we are so on it," Cas said with a grin.
"But my mom absolutely can not know, everything else is free reign,"
Fangs and Cassidy ran off to go search the names into google to see what they could find there. Then there were two, standing as far apart as they could without being too obvious,.
"So about the speakeasy opening...." Dallas started.
"Ah ah ah, don't bring it up," he interrupted.
Dallas stood frozen and embarrassed. "What?"
"I was going to ask if you wanted to be my date, but seeing as you brought it up first...."
Dallas smirked and rolled her eyes. "You were about to make me so mad."
Sweet pea walked over closer and grabbed her hands.
"I know we had this past summer apart, but I don't plan on it happening again. I love you Dallas Blaire, can I please call you my girlfriend again?"
"Yes you big idiot. And I love you too."
*A/N: ALRIGHT*. Bear with me. First off, I am so sorry for two reasons. 1. this is HELLA late. 2. this is HELLA short. I have my reasons though. The biggest thing here is that Riverdale is pissing me the fuck off. The plot is getting absolutely ridiculous minus the flashback episode which was actually really good. I can NOT stand the "Tumblr lingo" they are using in the show. If I hear someone LITERALLY SAY their ship name again, or if I have to hear someone LITERALLY SAY the word "ship" I'm going to quit and never watch the show again. I don't know how you guys feel about what's been going on, but I honestly don't know how much more stupidity I can take from the writers. I have read DOZENS of Riverdale fan fiction that is better than the actual show, so you can see the issue here. You guys probably won't read this but if you do, please feel free to comment your issues with the show too.
Still love you guys, and I still find it crazy that this has 32.8k reads. Like why???? Anyways, if you made it this far, don't forget to heart and comment. Comments are 100% the only thing keeping me going at this point. Sheesh, this was long. Alright, I'm out. Bye xoxo
