"Dallas! Hey...wow someone got some last night."
Dallas was taken aback by the forwardness that had sprung out of Toni's mouth. She was joined by a smirking Cassidy. She was sure that she would collapse in a puddle of embarrassment, leaving only a pair of boots and a few piercings.
"What are you talking about?" Dallas hugged her books and tucked a loose strand of hair away from her eyes.
The two girls looked at each other before starring right back at Dallas, clearly amused.
"You have that post sex glow sweetie. Plus, you're wearing his shirt," Cassidy commented.
"So what if I did," Dal said turning to walk towards the door to the school.
"Called it," Toni shouted following behind her, Cassidy in tow.
"When did you two become friends?" Dallas quickly added changing the subject.
"When you ran screaming into the pouring rain last night. I called her to see if she knew what was going on. Now stop changing the subject," Cassidy explained, her and Toni closing in on Dallas who was becoming redder by the moment.
The trio walked the halls of Southside High, pestering Dallas on the subject, just until they reached the outside patio. There Sweet Pea and Fangs and a few other Serpents sat around a table. Cassidy and Toni snickered and elbowed one another.
"Wow, your eye looks worse then it did last night," Dallas mumbled taking hold of his face examining it.
The group of Serpents seemed to revel in their interaction. Dallas drew her hand away, and instead set her bag down between them, earning a look from Sweet Pea. Luckily, Jughead strode up to the table they were all standing around.
"Nice article your girlfriend's mom wrote," Sweet Pea said harshly, his dark hair swept carelessly over his eyes.
"Yeah I saw that. Dilton Dooiley said he was stabbed when a bunch of you guys jumped him," Jughead sighed.
"Idiot stabbed himself, with his own knife," Fangs joined in with an eye roll.
And we didn't jump him, there was a fight, Bulldogs versus Serpents, and you see this? Your boy Andrews gave it to me, just before his girlfriend shot a gun into the air," Sweet Pea explained, his voice rising in level, pointing to his blackened eye.
"What happened?" Jughead exclaimed, his gaze switching over to his sister.
"I saw the whole thing Jug," Dallas chimed in, getting the silent approval of the Serpents.
"And of course, Northsiders get off scot-free, and the rest of us are hauled in by the police. It's payback time," Sweet Pea continued, turning his attention to the sheets of paper that laid scattered around the table.
Dallas eyed the plans and recognized it as a pipe bomb, something she had been acquainted with while her and her mom lived with a few ex-gang members who still feuded from time to time. And it was evident that these stupid boys thought this would fix issues.
"Let me talk to Archie. Let me figure this out," Jughead stammered, desperately trying to diffuse the obvious tension.
"Okay? That's your answer to everything. Talk and more talk. And we don't even know where you stand. Us? Or them? You can't be half a Serpent." Sweet Pea concluded and grabbed Dallas's bag, wrapping his arm around her and leading her off.
It was clear he was fuming, still not over the previous night's escapades. She had been in Riverdale long enough to know that the Northsiders treated the Southsiders, specifically the Serpents as worse as you could treat people. His anger was justified, but she was torn. She knew the Bulldogs weren't evil, they had treated her with kindness after all. Then again, she wasn't a Serpent.
