Vivian's POV

"HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!!" Someone screams into the phone. I instantly regret answering it. I pull it away from my head and look at the caller ID.

"What the fuck Jeffree? Are you trying to make me perpetually deaf in one ear?" I ask.

"Perpetually? What the hell does that mean?" Jeffree asks, laughing.

"It means: permanently, eternally, everlastingly, unendingly..."

"Okay, okay, I get it." He says. "How do you manage to use such big words so early in the morning?" He asks.

"Well, the fact that I'm a walking talking dictionary might have something to do with it."

"Oh, yeah, I forgot about that." He says sarcastically.

"No, seriously. I and Davey used to have competitions to see who could read the dictionary for the longest time without getting bored and giving up. I always won." I tell him.

"Wow. You have some serious problems." I can't help but laugh. "Is anyone awake yet?"

"I don't know. You calling woke me up."

"Sorry. But at least I was successful in being the first person to wish you a happy birthday. You're sixteen! How do you feel?"

"No different than I felt on any other birthdays, or, actually, any other day. I really don't see why everyone makes such a big deal out of being sixteen." I say with a sigh.

"Well, hopefully, this birthday will be at least a little better than all your others." He says gently. "Where are you guys?" He asks.

"Albany, I think," I tell him.

"Albany has some good shopping spots."

"Yeah, so I've heard."

"Well, I gotta let you go. I gotta get ready for a photo shoot."

"Okay. Break a leg, and don't break the camera." I say cheerfully.

"Haha, I'll try."

"Love you Jeffree."

"Love you too Vivy." I hang up and roll onto my side, facing the wall. I really have no clue what to expect for today. It's been a week since all that drama with Connor, and like I feared, things have been pretty strained between us. Dahvie is almost just as bad. I've been mostly hanging out with Jayy; he's been helping me write some original songs and doing other stuff to get my band started. Nothing too big has happened, I'm looking at a couple different guitarists. Texas joins us every once and a while as well. Sally still steals me every once in a while for some 'girl time'. And Jessie has barely left my side. He's feeling really sorry for not stopping me. He told me what he told the others about wanting me to be freaked out by it. I forgave him instantly, but he's still really clingy. Suddenly, my curtain is slowly being pulled back. I roll over as Jessie climbs into my bunk.

"Happy Birthday!" He says happily as I pull him into a hug.

"I think I deserve a birthday cuddle," I say. He smiles and rests his head on my arm, curling up against me.

"You could've just asked." He says.

"I know, but I didn't want to give you a choice." He laughs. "Any clue what they're planning?" I ask, motioning indirectly towards the rest of the people on the bus.

"I think I heard something about a party, but I'm not sure."

"Thanks. You've done well my little spy." I pat his head.
