Vivian's POV

It's been six months since I met Dahvie and Jayy, and a lot has happened. First off, the authorities finally started taking interest in me and eventually found out the truth. My father was sent to prison on multiple charges including two accounts of child abuse, use of illegal drugs, and rape of a minor. He was given a life sentence. After some fighting and the use of my amazing skills at persuading people, Jayy adopted me. He and Texas are engaged now and are going to be married in two months. Oh yeah, and I'm now a permanent member of BOTDF. Dahvie found out I was trying to start my own band and got upset. He said I could just join them, and Jayy was quick to agree. So now BOTDF has two singers and a screamer. I was afraid the fans wouldn't like it all that much, but it turns out they were all waiting for it to happen after seeing me perform with them. I've changed my name to Valery Love Monroe. Life is good and for once, I don't see how it could possibly get worse.

Ashton is back at college, in Oregon. Connor started his senior year in September and Jessie started eighth grade. Connor has gotten a little depressed since Ash left, but I've been doing my best to cheer him up. Since we're currently not on tour, I've been succeeding. In fact, he's picking me up today when he gets out of school and is taking me to the mall. Then we're going to his house for a sleepover since it's Friday. I've fallen in love with his youngest sister, Mia, and Harriet has fallen in love with me. In fact, she promised that if Jayy wasn't allowed to adopt me, they'd try to foster me. Ally doesn't like me much. I think that's mostly just because I've stolen her mini-me. Mia's main role model had been Ally until I came along. Now she's starting to see the different paths she can take with her life and for the moment, she's going more towards the path I took. I have to remember to buy her some new clothes while we're at the mall. She's pretty much refusing to wear anything but black because that's all that I wear.

"Val! Connor's here!" Jayy calls through the house.

"I'll be down in a minute!" I call back.

"Don't bother! I'll be right up!" Connor answers me.

"Quit yelling through the house!" Dahvie shouts. I start laughing and hear the other two start laughing as well. I grab my black leather purse and stuff my wallet, notebook, camera, phone, I-pod, water bottle, Cropo, and my emergency makeup fix-it pouch. And yes, I did say Cropo. I bring him with me everywhere! I know it's childish, but he's become like a security blanket to me. I put the purse on my shoulder and grab the bag I packed for the weekend. I walk out of my room just as Connor reaches the top of the stairs.

"Hey. You ready?" He asks.

"Yup. Just let me say goodbye to the guys." We walk back downstairs, Connor insisting on taking my bag. I eventually surrender it just to shut him up. We reach the bottom of the stairs and I see Jayy waiting with his arms open. I run and hug him. He hugs me back.

"Be good." He whispers.

"When am I anything but?" I say, looking up at him innocently.

"You're not fooling me. I know that under that innocent act you're bad to the bone." He says. This is our newest most over-used joke. I can't help but laugh. Then I notice Texas standing next to us.

"Texy!" I cry, pushing Jayy away and hugging him instead. He just laughs and hugs me back. Connor is dying of laughter.

"Texy? When did you start calling him that?" Jayy asks, barely holding in his own laughter.

"Right now. And I think I like it. So you better get used to it." I say happily.

"Sweetheart, I'm never gonna get used to you calling him that." Texas laughs.
